Yeah, I know it went down the drain, but in order for the movie to make sense, we have to assume that the keys would have gotten lodged or stuck a few inches down the pipe. He wouldn't be able to see the keys, however he would be able to see the light emitted by the light attached. He could then devise a way to get the keys out.

Yes, it went down the drain. However, as I said before, Adam passed the test, and when you pass the test, the guy lets you go. Adam wants to live, and he will, because he will find the keys in the drain.

If the movie were to disregard this, then the whole setting up of the other characters instances with their traps wouldn't make sense.

Another reason Adam does not die is because the guy doesn't kill people. He gets others to kill them for him. Adam is now alone and chained up. This would be murder because Adam will die of starvation and dehydration. Thus Adam cannot die.

If someone ties you up and throws the keys at you and you drop them and can't reach them and you die of starvation, the guy who tied you up isn't guilty of murder? You are because of your own stupidity?

i dont think the point of the movie was all based around the keys that he gave to adam rolleyes: , it makes sense he passed the test and should live as the others, but he was a freakin idiot and lost the keys, the guy didnt lose them, the kid did, so if the kid had held onto the keys he would of lived but he didnt end of story, i understand the point of what he does with each of his victims but this kid totally screwed the pooch and fucked himself over
