Actually there's only me and one other kid that used to play D&D and even so, I haven't played for a good 5 months or so. cry:

I'm in Pi Lambda Phi at the U of Wisconsin - Madison.
Dont listen to people who havent had first hand experience, the greek system will be the best time you've had in your life.

Special? Whats special about joining a rec basketball team? Its just guys with similar ideals and interests coming together and having a good time while helping out the community, nothing "special" about it.

Well its not like I go around announcing I'm in a fraternity, you wont see me wearing frat t-shirts or hats etc. Unless you know me well or met me at the house you would have no idea I was in a frat, same goes for 95% of greeks out there. I've also noticed huge differences of opinion of greeks on different campuses, some are like 70% greek while some are like 1%. Your opinion of it is heavily influenced by your peers whether you realize it or not.

lol @ D&D... My computer teacher has this huge binder full of stats and info on weapons, characters, and other stuff.

Can I start my own fraternity?

Cethin 05-06-2005 01:39 PM

I never seen the point to a fraturity, but people like what they like. I prefer coming home and hanging with my longtime friends.

Its not like you drop your friends when you join, I have MANY more friends outside the house than I do in. I still hang out with all of them. IMO people make fraternities out to be more than they really are, they really arent anything too complicated or mystical, just guys who are involved on campus and can throw parties without fear of cops (atleast here) You do make longterm friends in it aswell, but dont lose your old ones(unless you choose to), I actually joined with a friend I've had since elementary school.

^^^^^^^^^^^ What he said

I still have every single one of my friends from home still close to me and I go home and hang out with them whenever I can. Some of the guys in my fraternity live close to me so we're going to hang out a lot as well.
