I totally disagree with your statement. New York has proven itself time and time again. We've been through 9/11, blackouts, snow storms, hurricanes, countless sport championships, and people here tend to help one another for the most part. People were sleeping on the streets and you didn't have mass looting or silly shit like that.

When the Rangers won the cup in '94, the whole world thought NY'ers would riot. Could you imagine their faces as they watched people celebrate in the streets without flipping cars and lighting them on fire? How bout all the Championships the Yankees won recently? You didn't see any rioting either.

So why does NY have a bad rap? Pyro, i can gaurantee you were never here.

A giant storm that floods the city and destroys 50% of it is considerably different to a power blackout.

Although I agree it probably wouldn't happen in NYC, because they'd probably have a decent relief effort within DAYS instead of weeks.
