I don't care they can have all the problems in the world...my PS1 never fucked up and niether has my PS2

only time i ever saw a problem EVER with a system...was my friends xbox.

Nintendo was also up 2-0 with the most popular system, nes then snes, in fact theyre the only other company thats had 2 big hit home consoles in a row, no company has had 3 yet, and with the competition the ps3 has, sony aren't gonna acheive it either.

Xbox 360 oOo:
Nintendo I would like if they didn't have the new controls
PS3 will complete their dynasty.

360's got a sizable lead over ps3, also a lot cheaper. And have a gander at gears of war, if you dont think much of it poke your eyeballs out with red hot skewers.

wii is obviously a ton cheaper and will probably be interesting to a lot of people because of the new control scheme, and if the buzz about the net is anything to go by its gonna be a huge seller.

I dunno why anyone wouldn't like the new control scheme, its what sets it apart from the other 2, we've been pressing d pads since the 80's, a change is welcome.

This is where i found out about the controllers.

With all ive seen Sony doing this generation im really not seeing a "win" for them. Microsoft and Nintendo have put out strong contenders and have hit early. The only saving grace for sony is a loyal fan base that may not mind being raped. Though, thats questionable.

And that whole statement is based on nothing more than thats what you;re used to doing when playing games. You've no clue what it would be like to be able to interact with the game more instead of just slapping buttons and a d-pad.

i guess all i have to do is change the instinct of pressing a button...to moving a remote controller.

oOo:

Yeah because the tv's gonna get up and do a jig if you move the remote control right? oOo: Theres a vast difference between moving something about and nothing happenning, compared to you being able to move something about and have the character on screen follow your movements.

gtboys34 10-22-2006 06:22 PM

yeah, the wii is gonna win alot of people over. Especially when the buzz starts about how cool that new control scheme is. I just hope thats its properly calibrated for the games

CoMaToSe 10-22-2006 06:34 PM

my only concern with the Wii controller is fatigue. Just holding it out at a centered level will get tiring fast. Ever held your arm straight out in front of you fot several minutes?

Bucknub 10-22-2006 06:37 PM

I have one question about xbox live. And it's how to actually get it.

I heard you can go into EB games and buy some xbox live card, and it's $10 per yea, and you input a code or whatever.

I dunno, someone tell me

ROFL GTFO. Holding out your arms with 40 lb buckets of water, maybe. Holding out your arms with a 5 ounce controller, no.

The PS3 will be a success. Period. I would certainly hope XBOX360 has a lead over the PS3, since it came out a year PRIOR. Once SONY gets its act together on production, expect that lead to drop significantly. Ill be suprised if MS can maintain that unit-share throughout the year. I doubt it. PS3 - for all the woes and troubles, and internet hand-wringing - is still going to dominate in all three major markets. MS has pretty much resigned itself to working in only two markets (US and UK).

Thats why the PS3 will continue to be a success, because it will have the built in unit-base that will attract small time publishers. You wonder why you can predict which games will be released for XBOX360 - its because publishers (and were talking JAPANESE publishers) arent going to release on a system with no installed user-base. Thats why youre getting the standard FPS, Action and Sports franchises, and hoping for some bit of innovation from US/UK developers. SONY has the good fortune of having the eccentric machine, the PS3 that will have all developers flocking to it to develop titles.

As for technical woes, for the great MAJORITY of players - this wont be a problem, is there are problems. Its a piece of tech - expecting ALL UNITS to come out of the manufacturing plant w/o operating defects is a joke.

In any case, 500K users are going to be updating the world on whether or not the PS3 was worth it - and with some pretty good games dropping within the first couple of months, I cant see them not having anything to crow about.

Its a fucking CONTROLLER. Not a load of bricks. Unless you play the "STAND STILL GAME™" - how the fuck is this going to be a problem. And if it is, heres a novel idea that I just invented:

PAUSE. TAKE A BREAK. ed:

Amazing. Welcome to the future!
