If Slaton stays healthy and has a good year he will definitely enter the 2008 draft. He already has child and I believe he would seize the oppurtunity to make millions. We did sign one of the top prospects at RB in the nation Noel Devine. He is small but lightning quick and very strong. Hopefully he develops into a fine super back as we call them here at WVU.

Wait I thought he decided to not sign and just went AWOL? I hope he did in fact sign because I can't wait to see him play. He's one of the best RB prospects coming out of high school since Barry Sanders. Yes, he is more impressive than Reggie Bush. The guy bench presses 350 lbs and he only weighs about 185. |
He signed his Letter of Intent earlier in the month. He recently got his ACT scores back and is now qualified to play.

Good. Huge pickup for WV. Better hope Rodriguez yanks a knot in his neck to keep him in line and turn his attitude and social problems around, because his natural athletic ability is incredible.

Oregon State isn't on par with the WV's and Wisconsin's of the world. They rely mostly on JUCO's for their players (ala Chad Johnson) and talented players who aren't rated high because of troubled backgrounds (a poor man's WV). A good season for us is around 8 wins and a bowl appearance (last season we had ten with a bowl win over Mizou). Yvenson Bernard, at the start of last season, was the go-to-guy on the OSU offense, and eventually this wore him down since he was game planned against and got injured occasionally. This year, although we lost our solid QB and great TE, I think he will be able to make himself known nationally because he has the talent to do so. I agree he is no Steve Slaton, but he will be one of the, if not the, best the Pac-10 has to offer.
