So WE who are paying for the servers are supposed to go out and get a program cause you are not mature enough to handle yourself Scrote....dear god the audacity some of these children have. Sometimes I give warnings sometimes I dont. I give warnings that I am about to start kicking snipers when there are 24 people on our server and 16 of those are snipers. Do they listen..no. So I say it once then start booting.

Kicking with no warning at all, is a bit extreme... i'll give you that.

However you need to understand where the average server admin is coming from when he sets his/her rules for said server.

I'll give you the example of [DSB]

We take pains in setting up our servers. We take the time to set up a clan website to get members, then when we have enough we raise funds for a hosted server, which we spend much time setting up just right for low ping/lag. Our players decide on basic rules for this server and then open it up to the public. After much time and hard work we get a loyal base of regulars that call this server home.

Now i ask you. When a player comes in and uses language thats deemed offensive to our set of rules... what would you have us do?

A: Allow this to continue , and upset our our player base of regulars?

-Or-

B: a single warning and the boot.?

Before you answer, lets multiply this problem. Lets add the fact that we have 3 Mohaa servers, 2 Counter Strike Servers, 1 RTCW, and 1 BF1942 Server that has the same type of problems with foul mouthed players.

I'm not saying we don't want people to have fun or yell out when they get fragged or if they have a good shot. But lets be honest here. Almost everytime you leave the language door wide open you get nothing but flamming gutter mouthed spamming.

99% of the time if a player is cursing it's only to belittle another player. It takes effort to type the messege and put forth the insult, and that means its never an accident. If you can't function on a server or play the game without cursing, then its a fault in yourself not the server admin.

outstanding post...most of the average players who just run the game and look for a server has no idea the time and effort that goes into a poppular and well run server..they jump in..do and say whatever they want..and think there no repercussions for there actions..over 50% of the time if i tell a player to watch the language i get a whole line of cuss words telling me what to do with my server..hes kicked of course..and hes off to find another server to disrupt without giving it a second thought.its no wonder some server admins are quick on the trigger...im guilty of it myself..when im not playin my self i put a regular in charge of the game..when i get back in i ask..everything ok...if he says kick this guy or that guy and gives me a good reason...there gone....my servers tightly policed...the name of this post is picky servers...look it up in the dictionary...youll see butches ultramod...on the other hand...5 minutes after i start the server..its full of regulars who come back night after night...WONDER WHY???...BUTCHER

i agree completely, I am the one PAYING the MONEY for you and everyone else to play on MY server. I have taken all the time it takes to download all of the files and special mods for the server. I am the one that has searched for 2 months to find an answer to my problem (and this is true, thanks for the help doggie). and what have you done, came into MY server and disrupted everyone, i happen to have 2 kids, both are old enough, but if they were younger, i would not let them play on any server without my supervision, just cause of the cursing and swearing that goes on in some of them. we all get enough of that in real life, and we dont need any of it when we, or our family's are trying to sit down, relax, and have a good time. Its my server, and i have done the work, i will run it the way i want, and kick and ban who i want. and if you want to come back in after i kicked you and argue with me about it, ill ban you, and have all the other servers in my clan ban you as well, and even try to get others to ban you as well, thats just how i feel about the subject.

when i first posted here i figured i was goina get racked over the coals for my opinion and the way i run my server...but to my surprise i find im not the only one who cares about the way its run..i find that refreshing...and lets me know im not alone in the fight against disruptive players in our game...thanks to the other server admins who took the time to post there feelings and rules here...maybe some players will learn something by reading our posts and realize that there are games that dont tolerate bad behavior...and possibly let new players know there are quality games they join and enjoy with there families and let there kids play there without fear of bad language and offencive names...i leave with new found hope for the game in general...BUTCHER

You will be surprised to find out. Many of the members here at AA.com are older some with family and younger children who like to play or watch their older siblings / parents play.

I do not tolerate abusive players. I pride myself and the regular players who make the aa.com game server what it is. They have no problem following the rules and letting their kids play as well.
