Aren't there exemptions for antique firearms? Or couldn't you have them converted to semi-auto for legal purposes? A friend (in Maine) has an original MP40 that he had converted to semi-auto -- he can convert it back in 30 minutes...

Just curious!

The only way you can legally own a fully auto converted to semi is with BTAF approval. and they want to make sure you can not convert it back like your friends. he should be very carefull, but doent main allow full auto? I know NH or VT does.

A good friend of mine in work has a .30 cal browning belt fed semi auto ( stamped receiver ) and is now the proud owner of a BAR semi auto. Both are BTAF approved. But could never be converted to full auto.

I have been inquiring about a MG-42 semi auto belt fed. Just need to come up with the 3500.00

I would would love to pick up a semi auto MP40. I will take some pictures when we get a change to bring the BAR to the range. I can compare it to my Thompson.

And the federal gun regulation still prohibits any full auto, in my state.
