Rude, once this is all done, you should make it into a HTML doc, and add it to the FAQ, like DogMeat did with the port guide.
|
I was thinking the same thing Joe
Now that's scary biggrin: |
[quote:25ce0]Freeze 5 * *= Changable value
Freezes all players on the server for what ever amount of time you put. ( Good for getting the undevided attention of clanmates/ Clients) [/quote:25ce0] this is rcon command only good if you are running a server. also dont forget the value |
OK this isnt a command But it is usefull finding them, In the console if you want to find exact command for example SV_walkspeed just type sv_w and hit the TAB button and it will scroll through all of the choices that have sv_w* in them. You can also just type SV_ and it will scroll through the SV_* choices it will work for any letter or command in there
|
I forgot
Timescale .x ex Timescale.2 I can't take credit for this but I learned it from the bullet time mod I only works with cheat on but it will slow the game down in slow motion depending on the value of .x 1.0 is default and it goes down from there, it just makes a good slow-motion effect but the best use I found for it was making screen shots during heavy action |
Thanks bowman.
I will leave this up 2 more days, then hopefully by the weekend I will put the list together all pretty and send it out to the MOH sites and post it in here Thanks to all who helped with this project |
Hey Rude,
Maybe you would like to check this before publishing your guide: http://216.239.37.100/search?q=cache:jb ... s&ie=UTF-8 The original page is no more, that's why I put the google cache link. There's nothing really new, but I found it interesting however... Regards |
Nice find. This is why I wanted to compile a MOH rcon list as some of the quake ones do not work.
I will go over that list and see if I can pull some other MOH rcon commands out of it. Thanks |
I just have to say guys, you are doing a great service to the community here. Deffinately going above and beyond the call of duty. Thank you!!
|
I did some tests yesterday, and it appears that when you're connected to a server the rconaddress is bypassed, and every rcon command is sent to the server you're connected to (which is really bad for my interests eek: ). Maybe you would like to try it and add that piece of info just in case.
Regards |
correct but you still have to use the format
[code:3b97d]rcon password command[/code:3b97d] in every post you can use a cfg file for your client, so you never have to add that again. If I miss understood please explain again. Thanks for the heads up |
Well, of course, my fault for being too lazy to explain biggrin:
My intention was to issue rcon commands to an IP address while being connected to a server on a different one. This would allow me to implement player banning (and other features) directly on the console (well, to be exact it would be controled from the console while still being implemented on a different binary). As the rconaddress is ignored while connected to a server, I have no clue on how to send any kind of command from Mohaa to an address other than the server one hake: . Regards |
OH, sorry for misunderstanding you. I would think
rconaddress x.x.x.x would connect you to the server of the address. say your on box a 1.2.3.4 you want to rcon to box 4.3.2.1. on box 1.2.3.4 you type rconaddress 4.3.2.1 rconpassword mypassword now your connected. to the other boxes rcon. I could be wrong. If this does not work and you use ASE use ASE's built in rcon consol. Good luck |
[quote:0f73d]say your on box a 1.2.3.4
you want to rcon to box 4.3.2.1. on box 1.2.3.4 you type rconaddress 4.3.2.1 rconpassword mypassword now your connected. to the other boxes rcon. [/quote:0f73d] Yes, you're right, as long as you don't connect to, say, 3.2.1.4 - if you do that, every rcon command will be sent to the last address ed: . I haven't tried to set rconaddress after joining a server, but I guess it will have no effect... oOo: Sorry to bore you with my problems, but it's nice to find someone at least curious enough biggrin: Regards |
