Anyway, as far as no weapons mods, I run a no rockets mod on my server, but that is because it is a small dedicated. My point being, I'd log on and there are 5-6 people spawn camping with rockets. I myself don't mind them. You have to be a dumbass to get owned by a rocket wielder, my concern was for the server in general, and the spawn campers. Although I'm probably going to allow rockets again, if that anti-spawn camp mod works out...

How do I say this delicately........I am not anti-rocket, anti-shotgun or anti-gerwerehangarewaarte, I am simply Pro Mauser!

Why do I get the ugly feeling in my stomach that a bunch of kids are typing all this shit in their rooms? That sk-whatever got raped one TOO many times by the weapons they have banned.

Ahem. Noob weapons huh? Yea your're right, the rifle, with a one-shot-one-kill to seemingly ANY part of the body. That's not an easy weapon to use. Or how about the SMG that now seems MORE accurate and MORE deadly than the MG. No n00b weapon there.

Here's the plain old facts, on a small map, people are going to have shotguns and going to do damage. On a large map, they'll probably go for Zooks. HOWEVER - if you CANNOT put down an idiot running at you with a shotgun or a bazooka (ESPECIALLY since you cant fucking fire the thing now in SH while mobile), then you deserve to get owned. Bottom line. The guys racking up dozens of kills with the ZOOK aren't some n00bs who just grabbed a weapon and have decided to go ass crazy with it, because you wanna know what. those fucks are the first ones down with a HORRIBLE kill/death ratio. I dont mind someone with a ZOOK who knows about splash damage and where to stand to not expose themselve with the zook, killing me over and over again.

Same with a shotgun user (guilty as charged). This is my WEAPON of choice. I love it. Am totally down with the shotty. When you have a weapon that REQUIRES you to actually go toe to toe with someone, that my friends is skill. Being able to dodge some idiots MG fire and getting in close enough to put them down.

As far as "it takes skill to use a rifle" - gimme a fucking break. There is no more camp-happy weapon than the rifle and the SNIPE. The very NATURE of the fucking weapons is an immobile, stationary position to effectively put down your opponent. I at first thought that YEA, it does take some skill to put down a moving target. Bullshit. It took me all of an hour to really get down "leading" a target, or just putting a bullet in his chest. Not that hard. Especially when most MG or ZOOK users become stationary themselves in order to more effectively shoot them.

So, the basic point of this meandering reply is to poopoo on everyones parade. Each and every weapon has it's own degree of n00bocity (::rollseyes::), and it's really just a bunch of brats abusing a weapon (while getting no REAL good score), that have vexed folks like sks so much. I mean, I know we ALL have been on the servers where someone is getting chewed up by a specific weapon, they get sick of it, switch to the WEAPON YOU ARE USING, and attempt to get some revenge.

And then you rape em so more.

why not be the first server dedicated entirely to rockets? think about it. i've never seen any server like this before. all rockets would be cool. no smgs, mgs, or shotguns or rifles. maybe we'll have pistols, but rockets all the way!

We disabled the Gewehrgranate on our server.. Yeah. Most ladder leagues have the Axis shotgun enabled in the rules. So we try to follow the rules.. This way we are ready for the actually matches..

Like I said, there are 150,000 people playing moh aa and sh online to date. Honestly as a server admin myself i could give two flying shits whether or not 1 out of 50 of those people don't come back because , as they so aptly put it , "It's gay to limit weapons". I played on AAN.COM last night, and was able to dodge the ghwergranite rifle rounds pretty well. I dunt think I got nuked once. Instead, I was SMG-Sniped. mad:

rockets are more fun with CKR.
and tehy add to teh "advanture" feel beacause if you only have 3 rounds you have to use some crafty tactics to get ahead, like stalking, finding a good hiding spot then moving, liberal use of the pistol, and salvaging enemy guns.

I think they modded the "n00b geschutz" there, because I had one land pretty close to me and it didn't kill.

We turn that stuuf off cause it requires no skill to use those kind of weapons, and if you dont like it you dont have to play there. Sorry...

2) I could care less what they do with there server. I have my own I-Lan Dallas server. I do not go to there server. "it's a n00b weapon" is just a poor excuse..

they say its a newb weapon but fuck anything can be a godamn newb weapon.. You start playing the game and the first weapon you choose is then a newb weapon.. Like one of the sks guys said he can go 30-8 sniping.. well maybe a sniper is a newb weapon cause ive gone around 20-5ish with a rocket in mohaa. No difference, the fact is i wasn't killing myself in the process either. Hell no one even questioned me, they didn't care I was owning with the rocket and I didn't care that some of them were doing damn good with the shottie. So you gonna call me a newb? ha! I have been playing this damn game since about a month after it came out! Damn I feel like such a newb for not having it the day it came out!
If you don't like the features of a weapon dont just edit the ammo of it.. Mod it out of your damn server then people wont be able to use it at all instead of dealing with people complaining of no ammo on their nade launcher. Frankly I think your a panzy if you bitch about any weapons cause they can all be countered. I played using the nade launcher and so did half my team and the game still stayed at an even score. So you tell me how is it a newb weapon when we weren't owning? It gave us no advantage. All weapons can be countered, you just have to be smart enough to figure out how.
