Unfortuantely you are right. He holding his republican gaurd back in bagdad to survive the intial offensive. It will get ugly there, but saddam has shown repeatedly that he doesnt care how many die and has shown an affinity for using civilians as shields. Maybe his troops will start surrendering to the press again. We can only hope.

We joined WWII and after Japan attacked us, and Gemany declared war on us. If Japan had not attacked us we may never have joined the war. We take way to much credit for WWII. We joined late in the game and came out looking like heros. Don't misunderstand me I have the deepest respect for the vets that fought in the war,, my father is one of them, but this the French owing us is is bull.
