riiiiiiiiight. mine is a Falcon Northwest, and it was like $600 cheaper than an alienware w/ the same shit (actually, i got more w/ the alienware). Anyway, i dont want to beat down on ya....lets just move this thread right along.....
to the guy that has the eMachines Laptop: how do you like it? i was considering it b/c of the price tag........u likey or no likey? |
The E-machine 6805 laptop is a nice lil' toy for the money. As far as a primary PC, i like my home made PC better but i can't take it with me everywhere i go so the 6805 fills the void. About the only problem i have with it is the DVD/CD-RW drive is rather finicky about discs. Seems a home-made disc with a stick-on label gives it headaches. Any other disc is fine.
If you have the cash and want something mobile that you can game with, then look into them. |
No prob not feeling beat down,
curious to see the specs. of the Emachines Laptop myself.. |

i don't see a 2nd monitor, what's the 2nd v-card used for?
V-CARD = Video Card...you pervs k thanx |
no 2nd V-Card. all ati cards with cat drivers (to my understanding) install a "primary" and "secondary" adapter. the reason? i have no idea.
|
i use a Dell 18.1 inch flat panel (got it for free, gg me). It has a 25 ms (i think) pixel response time. i have never had any problems w/ ghosting or anything like that. it looks nice, and the only reason i have this instead of my crt, is because i dont have room in my dorm.
btw.....alienware.......eh.... lmao....RDram......RAPED! |

Uhh... no it won't. It can run at PC3200 speeds. Plus the amazing timings of the BH-5 chips would make it faster than any(non BH-5) PC3200/3500 on the market. 2-2-2-6 owns all. Plus A64s suck at overclocking. As does the Via chipset in my motherboard. Hopefully the NForce 3 250 will be out and matured by the time I buy that. Hopefully the R420 and NV40 video cards will be out too. |

this is so u can have duel monitors and hook your v-card up to a normal TV |
On ATI's there are two connections: a VGA for CRT monitors and a DVI for LCD monitors. The cards usually come with a DVI to VGA adapter so you can have dual CRT's or one of each. TV-out uses the s-video connection.
