i'm sorry, you can't lump Nirvana into the same group as Creed and that other shit you mentioned... Nirvana was one of the most innovative an influencial bands of their time, do you even think bands like Live and Creed would of had a chance if Nirvana didn't break down the wall between mainstream and underground/indie, creating the over loved genre of modern 'alternative' music, remember when it was actually an alternative to something?... whether you like his voice or not isn't the point, thats your opinion, but you can't simply pawn them off as untalented... did you ever see them play live? I did, it was amazing... i hope you aren't judging Nirvana based on hearing "smells like teen spirit" or "rape me" on the radio...[/quote:c6108] I didnt say they were untalented. . .but they certainly arernt "great" - i enjoy listening to the music and have heard perhaps every song theyve released (including the bootleg stuff that just recently dropped on "With The Lights Out") - so no, I know the first thing one does in rebutting someones opinion on "the arts" is to challange their familiarity with the whole of the artists collection - but here that does not apply. But if I were judging the music based on craft and composition alone, it wouldnt get higher than a B- - kurts range was INCREDIBLY limited (as evidenced by his The Man Who Sold The World cover), but that says nothing about the overall product itself. . . Their "talent" has ZERO to do with how the can affect the genre either. . .Puff Daddy/Dr. Dre are TERRIBLE rappers, but that doesnt mean their overall music isnt good. . . |

OK I listened to every song on that album, and it was brutal...I was giving them a chance by actually listening to the whole thing, and out of 22 or 23 songs they have on that album, I think I liked one or 2....No way in hell I would buy that album.....ffs 5 million? oOo: |
I'm more of a trance listener but I actually like some rock, punk, rap etc. Although im not into the hardcore heavy metal stuff (its not my type) biggrin: I will never critisise a 'class' of music simply because of the range of music that fits in that class.

Metallica. Nirvana. (sorry Kurts voice was hardly golden). Slipknot. Creed. Live.[/quote:b2b74] this made me think you were implying that Nirvana lacked talent... |

The Documentary is one of the best Rap CDs of the year so far...but we gotta remember it is only MArch.
It actually has some decent to good songs...while the Massacre and Encore would be lucky to have one or two. |

i like just about any type of music if it catches my ears, but i like rap and country less than all the categories. i liked the early stages of rap, but when gangsta rap came out, i just tuned out of it. kids are influenced by thier hobbies, but it seems that todays rock and rap just brings out the fag in all of todays teens. ie, raves, emo, loners with trenchcoats, 'wiggers,' skater bitches and fuckin stoners. whats wrong with just listening to tunes and ditching school? seems like all of todays hype just shows how immature and degenerate todays youth is.
eat my cok pls. |
i like a lot of music, but i mostly listen to rock.

If it's one month old it isn't that bad, and the quality of the video edition justifies it. If you like it good. If you didn't good either rolleyes: |
