ps judas maybe you should die...i would find the humor in that. |
There are 4 fucking gas stations by my house that say they are out of gas. I think the bastards are in cahoots and its a ploy to ramp up prices upon reopening, some kind of scare tactic. People are all fucking lined up for the stations that are open. That, or the holiday weekend. spank:

no way.

I heard on the radio that there was an internet rumor going around that all Maryland gas stations were closing at 4pm today and not reopening until Tuesday. I guess people bought into it and ran out for gas. The governor's aide had to go to the media to tell people that it was bullshit. Perhaps by then the damage was done. I doubt it though.

to think that it's double in one years time isn't very encouraging either

Its done more than doubled. |
Billionaire Steve Forbes is predicting a serious fall in the price of oil. He is predicting oil will fall as low as $25-30 a barrel from the high of over $70 a barrel this week. I sure hope he's right. I've got a lot of respect for this dude but he seems to be out on a serious limb on this one.

I believe him. I think the price per gallon will eventually drop to $1.65-1.75.
|
Yeah i think we have pretty much seen the highest point in prices. I think they will eventually settle back to around 2.25$ again, it will probably take the better part of a year, but i think it will happen.

134.9 here.

they are screwing themselves over. Here I am sitting at home on my computer because I don't want to waste money by crusing around today. Where as I still complained but would still drive around with gas at 85c/L. So now gas prices are getting no money from me at all rather than the money they would get before if I had filled up at the lower price. Sadley The people who have to drive to work will still have to pay to do that.

about $3.40 here

Well i hope Forbes is correct. I'm paying $3.49 and would still buy it if it were $10.49 a gallon. The bottom line is....i need to get back and forth and i need to heat my house in the winter. They got us by the balls on this one.

You know how they have those stickers at the pump saying that if you drive off with out paying you will be prosecuted to the full extent of the law? ... Well I just heard on news radio that they have enough gas but want to wait for gas prices to rise.
Were I live, there are 6 gas stations ... well last thrusday I wanted to get some gas before prices went any higher, but I couldn't because all 6 gas stations claimed they ran out of gas. I was so pist off the whole day cause i was running on fumes, and I could not go any further cause I could end up getting stuck w/out gas ... so I spend the day at home. Well friday at noon I tryed again hopping there would be a gas station w/ gas; there was but now prices were up a whole $1.15. I filled up the car; start driving to Bonita Springs, FL and reallize that all other gas stations are at least $.50 cheaper. And when I got back last night prices at the same gas stations were below $3 for reg. This is insane, these gas companies should be prosecuted; and the dicks are doing this during a time of need ... Its insane that they can get away with this, the people should get together and do something about it. I'm sick of watching gas prices rise ... its time to take action. If it could be possible, boycott pretoleum for a week, before winter comes. That would surely lower prices. |

First: [url:622c4]http://economics.about.com/[/url:622c4] An artificial shrink in demand will not affect prices. You won't fool analysts with OPEC or Oil companies by not buying gas for a week. Instead, demand would be so great at the conclusion of that week that prices would likely rise for a time. Second: [url:622c4]http://news.moneycentral.msn.com/provider/providerarticle.asp?feed=AP&Date=20050829&ID=50707 86[/url:622c4] Forbes claims the demand is speculative and inflated. Good news. What would really help our country (and my city, Detroit, in particular) would be if one of the automakers finds a renewable, low-cost alternative energy source that we can make cars run on. There are current alternatives out there. Check this out if you're interested in saving some $: [url:622c4]http://science.howstuffworks.com/lpg1.htm[/url:622c4] |
They need to get that corn powered gas thing going here, i remember they started working on that years ago.
