Red orchestra is gonna be distributed by steam soon enough. Ive got it installed, rarely play though. loney:
As far as im aware with that pack blitz you get the games on the box, no more no less unless you want to pay for them, i think hl1 source is a part of it as well. |

It was okay I didnt find anything great about it. Plus it kept kicking me saying my cd key was in use or invalid and shit. I went through 2 games(returning the 1st to exchange for another) and it was still fucked on that ro mod. I sold that shitty game. |

RO has a good look, it just relies far too much on realism, slow movement speeds, no crosshairs. Game seems pretty much dominated by snipers and riflemen. If they hada made it more arcade styled sorta like dod it could have been a really good mod. |
Yea I think thats what I didnt like. TOO much realism. Fucking guy was slow as shit, like wading through water and it was all Rifle action.
I mean some of the tank features were very cool. |

QUESTION
Will a different brand wireless card work with a lynksis router? I just don't have the cash flow to buy a lynksys... |
ANSWER:
yes, get the same standard though (B or G or B/G etc...) |
Upgrade time
Sapphire PURE Advantage CrossFire Radeon Xpress asus top x1800xt 700\1600 2 gigs corsair pc 4400 creative xifi couple of 250 gig hard drives amd fx57 Now just need a lottery win to finance this happy: loney: |
ew crossfire
ew corsair ew single core happy: |
Id much prefer a single core for pure clockspeed, dual core is good for multitasking but i rarely do any at all.
As for crossfire, according to anandtech they have a crossfire setup for 2 x1800xt's and it spanks sli in every test, no numbers as yet but happy: |

Yeah "samples" ... paper samples.
Think the R580 will be the X800XTPEs record and launch at $1000? If the R580 is significantly faster than the 512GTX and not just a X1800XTPE, then nvidia will release a 7800 Ultra... It'll keep going forever. I'm excited for next gen when we start seeing the some new stuff. I'm bored with the 7 and X1 series... |

r580 there are working boards floating about with some ati partners, obviously clocks aren't even close to final but they are meant to be out there. Smartest thing ati could do would be to set the release for this a couple of months after they have everything nailed down then stockpile cores for a while, same as nvidia did with the gtx to get release day availability. Its a really tricky time for upgrading, sorta inbetween releases of new cards and new motherboards and cpu's (socket m2). cuss: |
I whacked one of these suckas onto my poor old softmodded 9800se AIW. I had to assault the TV tuner box[/url:26056] on the card with a Dremel to make it fit....
The stock fan was the only thing left in the PC that was making a racket, so it's lovely and quiet now; I'm well chuffed. happy: |
I got COD2.
I get about 15-30FPS. This is what I currently have: - 2.6GHz - 512MB RAM - nVidia GeForce FX5200 128MB (~$40) I have $136 to spend (anyone want to donate a bit more biggrin: ) I am looking at possibly getting this card: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6814121197 How good is it? - And what kind of FPS do you think I can get? |

With only $130 it's not even worth it to upgrade. Save up $200 then come back.

Anyway, I've tried that, I have my settings on the very lowest and still not much. An example of how bad my card is... I get an unstable FPS of 70 to 125 on CoD with lowest settings; can't run BF42; unstable FPS of 40 - 90 on MOHAA with lowest settings. |

I wouldnt recommend buying a new PC but maybe uprading the graphics card (assuming this one is crap) and adding another 512mb. |
