IMO, you cant go from regular metal to black metal. I like death metal and black metal is too much. No fucking melody just crushing guitars and drums that need a line.

I actually do listen to three of the bands he posted. And people act like Hardcore and screamo is all i listen to, when in fact it makes up maybe 40% of my playlist. I listen to a lot more Prog, Psych, and even some Ambient.

That's true. I did absolutely hate Prog, except rush. But then i found a band by the name Yes, then King Crimson and a few others and came to love the genre.
