Annoying.

So, I think that it is understandable that he is being questioned about his actions, despite the fact that nothing can be proved.

Next time, just look at the reply button at the bottom, and look for the words "locked".

I thought we got past all of this earlier today?[/quote:eeebd]

You failed to see my point. You cannot reply to a locked thread if it is locked before you try to reply (still bloody annoying because so many of the threads were locked - at least one a day that I would liked to have replied to were locked). These threads I noticed through your advice.

What I was refering to was when a thread had just started and I was typing a reply to it, and during the time I was doing so you came in and locked it.

So, when I finally did hit the reply button (which would not have been greyed out) I would be informed that said thread was locked.

Fine if it happened once or twice, but the frequency that I recall this happening was alarming, to say the least.

The other point was in the last paragraph of my post. I want an admin who I can trust to make objective decisions that won't result in the deletion of my account on a whim. I would also like to be warned privately and publicly before being banned.

As far as I can see, neiter happened with Tripper, Simo or Judas (definitely not the public warning - the least someone could ask for before they are banned is a final warning where everyone can see it).

Whilst I am sure you spent a lot of time helping people out in your time as mod through advice I did not agree with the way you controlled the forums.

As I said many times before, a good mod is one you hardly notice is there (in the context as mod).

All opinion. My opinion. I just wonder how much it is mirrored here.

Do you fail to see a reason why they should not have been locked? At least 1/2 of the frontpage threads of Offtopic would have been locked already, do you not see why?

ED! 08-22-2003 11:07 AM

This is only because this is huge stuff. Its interesting. And they SHOULDNT be totally locked from discussion, simply joined into one thread. Knowing you though - "OMG!!!111 I'm the king how can u not love me! no more talk about this!!1 - loct. heel. . .i mean hill...i mean - fuck it!"

Spin. Spin. Spin joe. Your version of events is still changing. If we were in court, you'd be convicted now.

IMO, Zoner was a good mod, he helped, he was nice and he doesn't think he's better than everyone else because of his post count

That would presume some deeper penetrating interest in who you are. There isnt. Name alone could infer many many things, but personally I dont go off of assumptions. If you're someone important - gg on slipping behind a screenname. If not, gg on pumping yourself up.

Either way just another "bystander" willing to toss his two cents in.

Higher Power 08-22-2003 12:19 PM

basically yes, and the name is a Boston song
