from before, im not cornering christian conservatives as some evil group, i know full well that it would be hipocritical to point the finger at a religion and say "that religion has been pointing fingers for centuries" or whatever
when i say christian conservative i mean the political group thats overthrowing separation of church and state in this country and waging pointless wars, not all christians who happen to be conservative (like my gf) that aside, there are a lot of ppl all over the world who do not have a perfect understanding of the holocaust, but as long as they realize it was an atrocity, i think its a lesson learned. also tripper i dont think anyone let alone the jews will let the holocaust go and get over it for a VERY long time, especially not since there are still tons of survivors, many of whom made thier lives better in america and are good friends of my family our one family friend, les frankfurt has a tatoo, he survived and went on to head up the psychology dept at american university in dc, hes a very cool guy and has an inspiring story |

I learned about that professor because of Noam Chomsky video too...then my teacher told us that teachers are allowed to teach whatever they want under their tenure, regardless of what class they're teaching... |

I said I wasn't sure of his name...glad your smarter than some euros in here ed: Think Chomsky did the right thing, any prof can teach any lecture he wants...its every man/womens civil rights...the freedom of speech. Plus in some of the first few articles Chomsky wrote he states "To even enter the arena of debate about weather the nazis carried out atrocities is already to lose ones humanity, but if someone wishes to, they can do so" remebering quotes from articles is that a good thing? oOo: |

That sounds a bit......fascist to me. oOo: No historical event should be exempt from review. As far as I know (correct me if I'm wrong) the holocaust is the only historical event that has laws passed in certain countries to enforce the official version of the story. When laws need to be passed to protect "the truth", I can't help but think that "something's rotten in Denmark". |

Same reason why I don't see why people think they can complain when people are against the war in Iraq. It is their right to be...and to take away that right....is facist.

WHo took away their right to oppose the war? Thats as stupid as madonna saying she was punished by the public when she did the video throwing the nade at the pres. Just cause they didnt want to buy her damn album? That could have confused ppl in afganistan or iraq, that the US govt was punishing her. stupid slut. Personally, Im afraid of the "Love it or Leave it" philosphy and those who subscribe to it. |
