Ok, let me put my spin on things. Whoever takes over the reigns should be supported financially by the members. Perhaps we should've done it long ago with BS but we didn't know the details until now.

As for who should take over, without stepping on anyones toes or putting anyone on the spot, i recommend Noctis and/or Zoner. These two guys earned mucho respect from the members and have been here long enough to recognize the "significance" of this site. All they would need to do is get the membership behind them and approach BS with a plan.

I've put in an e-mail to my webhost to see if they'll be able to handle the load the server takes just to begin with. Waiting for that reply... either way, I still think there are less expensive solutions for hosting than what is being used currently.

Secondly, if BS were to allow myself - or anyone, really - to take over on the financial ownership end of things, I think that Zoner undoubtedly needs to be involved at a very high level. Zoner, of us all, knows more about how BS has chosen to run the site. Other than perhaps a slightly higher degree of involvement, I think the site should continue to be run as closely to the way BS ran it as possible.

Opinions and/or support are welcome. I also think this topic needs the sticky stamp.
