everyone wanted to go pretty much after pearl harbor, i rememberi wanted to enlist in the army right after 9-11
needless to say i wish i could have had the chance to defend my country when wars were actually for a good cause |
I'd go, screw those fucks who go to canada hiding. Cowards.
|
I blew my chance in Desert Storm. I should've been enlisted but thats how life turns out sometimes.

No.
I refuse to be a pawn: if they reach our soil and threaten my life, I will take up arms and fight for myself, but not before. Yes, I am selfish and have no desire to fight for an ideology I don't even fully agree with. You guys like to say "yes" but I doubt you'd jump on board that fast should a third world war really begin. In other words: u talk alotta shit but u waz never ill tho... |

rolleyes: The people who flee to canada these days (vietnam included) are not cowards, quite the opposite. All are much more enlightened induviduals than those who would be the tools of an expansionistic regime. WWI/II was a *little* different, though not as much as alot of you would think. We were actually one single fake letter away from supporting the germans in the furst war. Remember the majority of our population at that time was german. There is also alot of evidence supporting that our government knew about pearl harbor in advance, but did nothing (except of course conveniently get out important ships out of the harbor for "training" runs.) Worked well, it brought the country together to support the war which our gov. wanted. America was also alot more ignorant about our government's hidden agendas back then. There were alll those campaigns to make it feel like every citizen was helping out in the war, though they obvioulsy werent. |
you guys are all shit heads for calling people either cowards or pawns. Don't go that far and be so ignorant.

I'm just saying it's very rude to make fun of someone that will go off to war or, on the other side, choose not to serve in the military. I just don't see why anyone has to call eachother names and bitch about something that clearly has two sides. No need for name-calling. |
