Most of the problems with MP3 head units has to do with encoding beyond 30 or so songs. This can be circumvented by placing music in folders.

But if you are getting a straight up error on the first track.. Google rock:

Thats it man! once i put over 30 songs on a cd it stops working.

Drew 03-07-2005 10:19 PM

Try putting 20 songs in a folder and see if that works.

I'd still call Alpine or Google for some answers. You shouldn't have to do that.

ive been looking around for one lately ... im too poor to spend 300 bucks on a walkman ... ive been looking at the creative ones since they are much cheaper for about the same amount of storage.

milla : try burning it at the slowest speed.

Slowest speed eh? roger that. I'll try slowest speed without putting them in folders....than ill put them in folders if that doesnt work. Because i made one cd with like 41 songs and it wroekd beautifully...so i was like wtf fuck it ill put more on...well when i added about 70 it doesnt work anymore. So i dunno

Milla 03-07-2005 10:41 PM

Slowest speed = 4x for my burner....thats to slow me thinks...12, 16, 24, 32, 40, 48, and 52 ( which i burned at last time)

SQ is not the first thing to come to mind when mentioning jensen ;)
Shure e3c's are my portable phones, Senn HD555 are my receiver-powered set of cans.

I ripped my ATHF/SIMPSONS dvds into audio files, and put them on my iPod. . .makes the day go by so much faster. . .

And I dont have to deal with a billion CDs. . .although I will soon see the need in investing in something other than APPLE. . .something with a REPLACEABLE battery -

Ebay. . .Craigslist. . .etc. etc. - can get real good deals. . hell the Minis are gonna be goin like gangbusters. . .get you a nice pink one. . . oOo:

teuche, best ghetto looking cans out there :)
Still an insult to them to be powered off a portable though, those need real power.

Where would I be able to find one used...actual ipods, not this shuffle one?

03-08-2005 11:58 AM

wow 120 songs is more than enough for me, and the shuffle costs 99$, alot less than 512mb players @ newegg.
