think of it this way.

for a 20 man server for moh, cod, its about 70-80 bucks a month.
now, take a 100,000+ man server. how much do you think that will cost? thats why you have to pay monthy.

yea but im not paying for those servers when i play moh, cod, etc. I realize why you pay monthly, i just couldnt understand shelling out that much money just for a game. I mean WoW does look cool though and im tempted to get it but its a lot of cash.
