let me say it again, my brother bought an iPod, I bought a Dell at the same time (about a year and a half ago) His iPod barely holds a charge (in fact, he listened to it for about two hours last night at full charge and this morning it is dead) and my Dell plays for hours and hours. That's all I'm saying. I don't give a shit about iPods or alternatives or whatever, i'm just going off of what I've observed.
And as for the no friends, you're an idiot, I don't need to argue about who has friends on an internet forum with some bonehead. One has a Creative Touch, One has a Creative Micro, One has a Dell DJ Two have iPods that have messed up. |

from what i have observed my whole family has had at least 2 in the past 3 years, and none of them have really died from not holding a charge. i took mine in in 2004 becasue i just wanted one of the new oens and said the battery wasnt really working good anymore.
how often does your brother use his ipod? if it uses it alot then it probably doesnt hold a charge anymore, or how often does he let it die then charge it again? those are all characteristics of a lithium ion battery, they have only a limited amount of charge cycles or something like that, a friend told me. so everytime it dies and he charges it, it used a cycle. so naturally, the more you use it, the shorter it will last you. |
he doesn't use it that much

i have 1 colour ipod, my sister has a mini ipod, my father has a old generation ipod and ipod shuffle, my girlfriend has a ipod 3rd generation, one my drinking mates has a stolen ipod nano, and everyone of them work absolutely fine with no absolute problems to date.
i dont trust shit all c312 says, unless you yourself are the owner of a said hell problem ipod then i cannot see your point, but buying the 2nd place product is no way any better, nore any more reliable. In the end it comes down to the better product you want to buy, not to some bullshit each user tries to spin on you. the battery on your brothers ipod, if you have a brother, or a brother that has an ipod is that the idiot probaly didnt charge it long enough the first time he got it, like a mobile phone battery or any other rechargable battery you get it as usually that defines how well your battery should last for. |
who gives a fuck. Just buy an mp3 player. Ive had a 128 mb creative thumb drive/mp3 player for a year it works 1337, I use my cd cassette adapter, plug that in and play it in my car. It holds like 12 songs at a time and then plays them in the order they are put on. You can FF and skip.

I've never had a problem with my 3G iPod. hake:

like Creative is a crappy brand...
they have been making quality, great sounding speakers/sound equipment for years and they are automatically second place to a computer manufacturer. I just don't get why iPods have the number 1 status |

How often do you see a creative TV commercial? |
I use creative speakers with my iPod... does this mean im going to hell?

iPods are #1 because it's the best system.... and for the same reason Creative sells most the sound cards and Microsoft sells the most OSs. |
