Um, me niether. Not a Trek or B5 fan myself. I find it amusing and more than a little sadly ironic that on one end, people who dont watch the show assume these things, and on the other end, you have Trekkie sorts who watch the show and complain "Where the fuck is teh sci-fi??"

I have the most sci-fi moment of the whole show in my sig, and you know what? Its a ship... crashing into another ship. Fucking wow-fi

from the clip in your sig "Pegasus's final act of sacrifice to save what's left of the human race", so a giant spaceship's attempt to save the human race, sounds pretty down to earth to me.

what the hell does that mean? lol

stop hurting girls, fuckface

CoMaToSe 12-06-2006 01:00 AM

No, it just saved Galactica. Human race (what's left) was already effectively 'saved'. Although saved isnt the right word there. Boiled down, it's really just the son (Lee) saving his dad. Clips make a lot more sense in the context of the show's entirety. And show me one instance of bad acting.

Oh noes, are pyro and buck no longer friends? whats the story here?

It's called BATTLESTAR GALLACTICA. Stop trying to argue that it's not sci-fi you fucking moron.

geRV 12-06-2006 02:37 PM

The geek\nerd thing does bug me a bit, pretty obvious that star wars got at least some inspiration from star trek, yet star trek is seen as "for nerds" mainly because theres a lot of technobabble in it, star wars just doesn't bother much with that and goes for more simplistic dialogue (for reasons we can't explain..shes dieing oOo: oOo: ). Yet saying that both wars and trek have a contingant of fans that dress up in costumes from the shows but trek is still really the one that is slated for being too nerdy. eek:

Looking at it id say the hardcore star wars fans are probably worse than the hardcore trek fans, i doubt you'd get paramount releasing the same movie like 50 times in a row with minor changes to it, some star wars fans buy every itteration of the star wars movies lucas can pull out of his ass and for some reason think the 2 seconds of bonus footage was worth it. oOo:
