Pink Floyd - Sheep The people who stick up for drugs are the ones who had the balls to try them and found out that wow, they're not what the government, parents and anti-drug campaigns say they are. Not that they're totally off, just completely exagerrated. |

Your logic is flawed.

you have just said "I took drugs because I had the balls too" and then "i took drugs because I had the "brains" to try it" like its an obvious choice for everyone but you were one of the few to realize it and do it. |
I think I'm inferring too much with one sentence answers.
The desire and initiative to try something that is viewed as bad and even unhealthy to most people, takes something. If you try it on your own, and not to be cool. If you're looking for just a good time or a spiritual experience, or if you're really bored with being sober. Many things lead people to drug use, and if you can handle the experience, and you're able to use a drug right, they are perfectly safe. Life altering, maybe, but in many cases a good way. |

I'm not anti-drug. I could give two shits if people abuse a certain drug. It's their choice. I just don't really see the point. I've never smoked anything in my life. However, I can definitely see how people would want to become addicted. When I tore my ACL playing football, i was prescribed painkillers. It made me feel really good. I would want to take more, but I knew I shouldn't abuse the prescription, so I didn't. I also had tendinitis in my left wrist. I took painkillers for that. I would always want to take something for my wrist, even for the most minute reasons, but I refrained myself from doing it, knowing it would be no different than abusing hard drugs. I pwn life. [/quote:6a43d] Milk(from other animals when not an infant)? High fructose corn syrup? Alcohol? fumes from a car? Anything can be bad for you in excess. Some things are down right horrible for you in any extent. No not every drug will fuck up your life if you try it once or twice or use it responsible and spaced out. But some drugs will. Some people will say that if it grows from the earth its ok to use because its natural but stay away from manufactured drugs. These people will then go off and take ibuprophen or asprin for a headache and cough syrup for a bad cold or soemthing. It's true that not all drugs will cause your body to shut down and cause you to die. But they might cause you to do something you wouldnt normally have done, or doings something impared. But you also have to remember drugs have been used by civilizations for thousands of years for a religious or spiritual means. I say this from the perspective of having taken some drugs but not being an addict to, or frequent user of anything other than alcohol. |
The whole thread in one sentence eh? Ok not too hard.
"Proteus is a dumb loser." Yeah, big words I know. /end thread |

And lol @ not using substances that have been determined to have ill effects being "sheepish"
I would like to also point out your use of Pink Floyd song as an example, a band who's had one of its founders go bonafied crazy, partially as a result of doing psychedelic drugs. |
