Can you not show one once of respect. I can't believe you can think innocent death and destruction is cool. I bet you didn't act this way during september 11th. These are people too. I bet in that patong beach video a thousand people died in just that minute. How is that cool, you are fucking sick.

Now the whole down-town area smells like shit at night, because some sulfer springs cracked or something.

Maybe it's because people are shitting on the streets under the cover of darkness.

elstatec 12-29-2004 04:19 AM

the worst part is when the waves swell back and take the people with them.

Animals can sense earthquakes and natural disasters before they happen.

maybe animals could hear the quake and could run away before the wave reached land, or else feel the vibrations... i know my dog goes nuts a hour or so before a thunderstorm, imagine what a 8.9 magnitude quake would do to him...

Arkan 12-29-2004 11:37 AM

Yeah, animals are something else. Just like deer during hunting season. They're around all year and walk right past you but come hunting season, they're nowhere to be found. They definately can sense trouble.

I am told that the Earth is at a faster rotation because the EQ was strong enough to "rattle" the entire planet. Days are supposedly shorter in seconds now. oOo: eek:

Uk is now the biggest aid donor with £50m given, that made me smile

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk/4133987.stm

USA needs to pledge more, I'm sure they sent only £30m...and look in the difference in size between the 2 countries hake:

Doctor Duffy 12-30-2004 02:12 PM

I dont see why we're not pledging that much. We're literally swimming in money, and using it as our napkins and neckties. Im not all too political, but we're in some major debt, and with the war in Iraq, I dont think we could pledge as much as we would be capable of pledging if those things didnt exist, but then again, I dont think the president gives a damn. He's gonna leave us after his four years still stuck in the same place.

Colin Powell said in an interview that the long term contribution that the US will make in terms of money, people, and assets will exceed $1 billion.

The US has already sent a fleet of planes, ships, and people to the area to assist in the relief effort.

I don't understand why after a tragedy like this people have to get into a pissing match about whose dick is bigger than whose. If you can lend support to the effort, good.
