I figure I should chime in on this thread. As most know, I'm a die-hard fisherman. Love the thrill of the fight and catch. Contrary to popular belief, I don't eat fish. Can't stand the taste of it. I'll catch, gut and clean fish but won't eat it. About 95% of my fishing is catch and realease. Occasionaly I'll bring home snappers or snook for the familia, but most of the time it's the thrill I get from the fight and sometimes it's just putting up better numbers against my buds.
Obviously, I have no problem with hunting, although I have never hunted. It's actually a thrill from what I hear. It's alot of stalking the prey and outsmarting something in it's own habitat. Now I'm not saying we, as a society, should revert back to being speark chucking half naked men but sometimes people feel the need or want to return to a more rugged time. Hunting offers this experience, especially bow hunting. It also offers a chance of bonding, in the none homo way, and is way to get away from the hectic hub-bug life. The states have pretty good game officials that regulate the hunting of the species and most hunters are respectfull of nature to where they are sure to use EVERY bit of an animal. I saw a few people post about how it's not really respecting nature if you kill it. I'm not a hippie or anything of the sort, but I don't thinking having cows chained up and blowing a steel rod in their head is too respectfull also. I guess indians were also disrespectfull when they hunted, as were all of history. |
indians had to kill to survive...a common citizen of USA or Canada does not need too.

you forgot, I am far from common. If I get two more (I had 3 kill tags) I wont have to spend money on meat for 3 or 4 months. That will help my budget tremendously |

That's a waste of an argument. If you're gonna argue either side at least come up with something that is a valid point. Obviously selling all of his guns would help his budget for that single season. Then what would he do next year in that situation? He wouldn't have guns to sell, nor would he have guns to go and hunt and save money. |

Guys, Stackem took that buck with an arrow. Shot from a bow. While his gun was at home.

This is playing a banjo. This is hunting with a bow. There is a difference. beer: dance: |
every year on Oct 1st you will not be able to find me. It is opening day for bow season in Michigan. This year we had unseasonably warm temps which hampered our trip. It turned into more of a camping trip than a hunting trip. Im not complaining, its still great to go get lost in the woods for a week. Here are some pics of the trip.
first is our camp, just tents no power or running water. We have a supply tent and a sleeping tent. next is the sleeping tent, it is heated but this year it was way too hot to need it after the morning hunt its breakfast time! while we are "roughing it" there is no need to eat like barbarians. A full backstrap (loin) from a huge doe I got last year and some shrimp "on the barbie". Here is dinner and here is the doe I got, it was the last day so I took her. She is on the small size (about 80-100 lbs) but I need meat in the freezer. warning this is a dead animal for the queasy the next 2 are just some shots of Michigan in the fall. The first is the trail into camp the second is a field I like I wish I had a better camera!!!!! I have two months left in the season so Im sure Ill get more. My entire family really likes venison and it saves us alot at the store not to mention its a great time spent with life long friends |

Nice trip, stackem. We go hunting in December, I am more of a small game hunter myself. It's a great rush you get from following tracks in the snow, trying to be as quet as you can, then take out the animal. I guess I will take pics of Illinois during the winter time.

i would only hunt if i ate the thing i killed. oOo:

Great pics Stackem.

You live better while your camping than I do normally...

for some reason, when I think of Michigan I think of Teddy Nugent, but then I think of Robocop and Detroit.
Looks pretty though. |
You sure look rich enough to afford food...not like the extra $$ to buy food for 3 months will kill ya if ya gotta spend it...it also lets a more kind species live too...but hey better it than you selfish fuck.

Pyro, where do you think that store bought foodcomes from? Force fed livestock, thats where. Force fed, then killed en masse. Your canadian, so I assume you eat french shit ike Foix Gras. Thats some cruel shit right there, for a goose. Force feeding the thing until its liver fucking ruptures. Is that more humane than puting a bullet into an animal and killing it nearly instantly?

I believe the main staple of pyros diet is semen because rumor has it that anti hunters give good head.

The guy is doing a crime, why can't I put a bullet in his head? That is what the government warrents...it is a way to survive so we don't have to kill more. Only way Id be ok with hunting is if we go back to theold days where grocery stores, fast food restuarrants and shit doens't exist and hunting is the only way...then it will be right. |
