I'm not all against those "meaingful" movies. I just think there are too many out there. Movies are supposed to be a place where you relax, not sit and think "wow, this was so moving". Those movies are about things that happen like every day, but puttin it into perspective.

Just saying I'd rather see a movie about stuff exploding and basic stuff outta the ordinary happenin other than seeing shit that makes me think.

I'm not ignorant, just pig headed. I think there is too much hippie movment shit. For me, it's sit back and watch shit get blown up.

I guess it's just diffrent taste. I enjoy a good art film once and a while. I've seen stuff memento, fight club, and other assorted movies of the type. The best I've seen so far, and not sure if it's considered it, was George Lucas's thesis in film school called "THX 1138"

In my opinion lord of the rings sucked dick. Then again im a critical bastard to say the least but when i was watching the film i fell asleep a couple of times due to the boredom of watching 4 circus midgets, some queer looking cunt with a bow and arrow, sean bean (piss poor actor) a 200 year old ganch (gandalf) and the "king of fudgepackers" run about for a couple of hours whilst boring the utter piss out of me.

Other movies that sucked dick:

Titanic: way to go hollywood take a story of a disaster and turn it into some wanky fucking love story with 2 half assed actors.

Pearl Harbor: Yet another load of fuck, another hollywood film focusing on something of a disaster and they HAVE to throw a fucking love story in just to piss people off.

Harry potter and his red headed friend can also blow me, both of those were boring as shit but get rave reviews for some unknown reason.

Starwars just blows goats. Episode 1 we get the massive hype over how darth maul is such a badass yet he does literally fuck all through the entire film only to be chopped in half by some wanker that couldn't act out an orgasm.

Episode 2 was more of the same, piss poor acting coming from every orifice and a corny dialogue for most of the characters. Only mildly amusing part was the yoda lightsabre scene but that was about it. Lucas philosophy: big special effects = good fim, umm wrong you beardy bastard.

Any movie staring nicholas cage sucks dick to the extreme.

Quite frankly most of the movies hollywood churns out year after year rate quite high on the "wankometer".

Yeah, the only real good movie I've seen in the past couple years was memento.

I have been wait for some to make a decent Movie out of the Lord of the Rings, since I first read the book almost 30 years ago. And I must say I was very happy with the Fellowship of the Ring. It wasn't perfect, some of the changes annoyed me. If you have read the books I think that you won't find the movie too boring, but if you haven't read them then I could see why you would. The Lord of the Rings is not supposed to be a action flick, it is supposed to be a epic. If peter Jackson would have had the time and the resources I imagine that he would have made six 3hr + movies, the LOTR fans would be in heaven, the rest of you would be really bored.

Gerard... Ewen McGreggor is an awsome actor. You have to see the movie trainspotting if you haven't. He could act out an orgasm... in fact I think he does in Trainspotting... on several occasions. It is all opinion though. We are all legally allowed to express our own, even if some shouldn't. This is why I will not comment on whether LOTR or SPR was better.
