no you dont' understand, Poland is pro-USA. Ever since America's independence, Poland has supported the united states and vice-versa. Very deep ties, and I sure as hell will not say I'm Canadian !

ha, i see. even when I was in Russia I had no problem saying I was American..in fact it was a bonus being American biggrin: that was before the crash of Russian economy and devaluation of the Ruble

[quote="Old Reliable":0f998]lol! so I guess we shoujld blame Poland for superior German technology, and Netherlands, and Belgium, and Norway and Russia hake:[/quote:0f998]
No blame russia becuase their the dumshits selling anybody their weapons that they created just so they can earn money. They wont care if they sold a nuclear warhead to suddam himself all they care about is making money since we bankrupt them in WW2. |

I and many I know believe that this action has been a long time coming, this regime has had 12 years to comply with UN resolutions to dissarm...this is not a new thing. As for the French no we do not neither want or require their military assistance however what we did need is for them to support in a diplomatic capacity the resolution that they signed up for. For them to say "we will veto ANY new resolution" publicly, now this undermined any chance of this being resolved peacefuly. As for the French/American relationship this is most strained soley because France does not believe in anything other than a French led european union (to which im also against). They want an all powerful, fanciful Europe and feel threatened by the might and power of 1 nation being a threat to their "cosy partnership with their european cousins" I know who I would rather have closer ties with and that would be the united states, they have been there for us (britain) for the past century and long may it continue. dooms. |
If you read my other posts on the other similar threads regarding the war then you'd see that I have similar sentiments to you regarding America and this war, except for subtle differences, which I will not repeat here.
Of course Blair is not the only person who wants this war in the UK, I was being generalistic. Sorry if you thought I was stating a statistic. Opinion polls are heavilly in favour of no to war in the UK. I meant that statement generally, not 100% accurately. Blair is going against his nation's wishes (as per consensus). As I have said before this is his choice and a brave one and good on him for standing up for his beliefs. I quote from the post of mine that you scrutinised: [quote:3149f]Blair is almost totally alone in believing this war is the right thing to do[/quote:3149f] Please not the word almost. I just hope (yet again, as I've said elsewhere) that that he is right and this war has a positive end. I still don't have to like it, though. And I don't. |
Edit: Rephrase - "Of course Blair is not the only person who wants this war in the UK" to "Of course Blair is not the only person in the UK who wants this war."
Sorry, that wasn't proper grammar. |
