thanks for fucking over my thread guys oOo:
ok anyways back on topic. My computer is pretty loud, It sounds like a 747 & even then it still reached 65'C yesterday when I was playing farcry. I looked at water cooling but it seems as though its too expencive allthough i think it would be semi simple to install, all id need to buy was tubing & a water pump & something to use as a rad. The hard part would be getting the things that you actully stick on the video card & cpu. Anyways I think I will probly just end up getting new fans, now Il start with just the power supply fan (which io think if fucked now anyways because on my system moniter its giving me a warning about the fan & the rpm is all over the place. I was thinking if i could replace the power supply & case fan for now & see how that does. iv heard that quieter fans perform not as well as noisy ones so if i need to i was thing about putting anonther case fan but somehow mounting it on the side or the bottom & blowing in, to get some air cycling trough the tower. So I ask from you guys, Any tips on what fans are quiet & by quiet I mean almost silent & if my mounting a fan on the side / bottom would work well. |
THe things that you get to stick on the cpu and video card are waterblocks and theyre pretty easy to buy. I doubt really any amount of silent fans are gonna make much difference to your temps.
The watercooler i have is the hydrocool 200ex, before i had this my cpu temps were hitting over 65c loaded, yesterday i had my cpu running at 3.5 ghz (from stock of 2.8ghz and 1.75 on the core) and it loaded at 50c. The hydrocools prety easy to install and cools the cpu only, you;re probably better off watercooling instead of wasting loads of money on case fans to see drops of a couple of degrees.
