definetly not true. We got over a foot once back in highschool and still had to go to school. LAst night I got about 6-8 inches. We would have got a lot more but it got too cold to snow.

That's not true. At my high school, it would take at least 4 inches to close school. And that's in Virginia, so that's pretty strict on school closings.

It makes sense for it to be tougher to close schools in Canada and northern states though because if they did it by the same standards as warmer states, they would be closed all the time and you would have to have school into the summer...It's just for the sake of practicality. Plus I'm assuming people up there get used to the snow and are more prepared for how to handle it (and drive better in it) cause lord knows nobody can drive in Northern Virginia anyway, much less with snow.

It was meant as a joke...

if you want to stop by go ahead. just get on cootes; its off of main street w, youll see an entrance into the university. drive in there, drive up a bit and youll see the parking circle. walk towards the grouping of buildings, youll see moulton residence (its the smallest one). im on 3rd floor, room 329. ext. 51137 if you need someoen to buzz you in. ill be waiting in my best lingerie.

Well we got a total of 10" here if not a foot. School was still opened though, but it was freezing.
