Yep. I think season 3 is some of the best stuff they've done. Exodus Pt. II may be the best hour of television ever broadcast.

Who the fuck are you again? Oh yeah, that's right fucking preteen sally with her 2 cents of misguided bullshit. You obviously haven't been around long enough to remember pyros infamous death-thread replies, so its time for you to fuck off and take pictures of your tiny fucking winky, lonerface. |
Just something for fellow fans (ninty) here, a DRADIS screen saver:

Unreal episode last night. Best one this season by far IMO and one of the best of the entire series. This is the best show on TV by far.

eek:
There must be some kinda way outta here.... Holy shit. Awesome finale. Still... 8 MONTHS?? |
Yeah, didn't expect them to be part of the final 5. Starbuck maybe after the Maelstrom episode but not the others. I always kinda wondered if Dee and Gaeta were Cylons but not the other folks especially Tigh. Who knows their might still be some kinda twist to it all? Since season 3 started I've been kinda wishing they would get on with the overarching plot line, but yeah 8 months is a long time to wait. However Sci-Fi has always done weird seasons.
To all the BSG haters you really ought to give it a try even though Coma likes it. Not a bad show really. Since "Lost" is technically in the Sci Fi genre they get compared often however I don't think it needs to be an either or kinda thing. They both appeal to different audiences. iTunes has a free download to catch you up on the story so far (they have one for Lost as well), might be worth a try. |
The way i've heard BSG described is a drama just in a sci fi setting. It's not really about phasers and aliens and stuff, rather it deals with some pretty heavy topics about morality and ethics and justice along with an astounding plot and great characters. I never watched star trek, and I didn't even like Star Wars growing up. This is about the only sci fi show I watch, but it is amazing.
you guys who do watch the show and have seen the season 3 final episode, this is a great read: http://www.post-gazette.com/pg/07085/770732-352.stm |
yea, I read that off AICN. Great article, RDM is an awesome show runner. Oddly enough, Galactica has somewhat turned me off to other sci-fi stuff. Liek Star Wars and the 'Treks that I liked (read: TNG, DS9) I will always enjoy, but anything like them after Galactica would just seem false. I was a little bothered by the fact that Galactica moved more into high sci-fi concept stuff this season, but given the increasingly spiritual nature of the universe as they get closer to earth (REAL close, from what I saw when Oingo Boingo was reaching the climax of their BSG styled arrangement of "All Along the Watchtower"), it makes sense.

the only show I'll ever watch on Sci-Fi is Mad Mad House!
