My "found" version of corperate works ok atm but I turned off auto updates
due to poss probs with the new gen advantage thing.

Genuine advantage stops "found" copies of XP access to the microsoft update website. It does however allow access to automatic updates, unless they havent changed something between now and 3 months ago. Automatic updates only downloads the most critical updates, for example - security updates.

The reason being is that if "found" copies of XP have holes in the software, its easy for hackers to target them, and then dish it out to legitemate windows users.

K, so obviously the rest of my computer can run BF2 fine (and probly maxed out), with teh exception of my graphics card. So, what's the cheapest graphics card I can get that can, say, max BF2 out?

Can probably buy an x800xt for cheap enough now which would run with most settigs on high, check ebay an you cna usualy find them.

Thats ok if you have pci express slot, if you;re on agp you;re pretty limited by what you cna get in terms of the card lasting. If you do have pci express might want to look at a 7600gt.

Well see theres this new invention, dunno if you've heard of it , its called a CREDIT CARD (audiable ooooh from stunned readers of this thread).

Theres also a new thing called "saving money". I got my radeon and cpu with money i had and got my mobo, psu, hd, case with my credit card.
