Genuine advantage stops "found" copies of XP access to the microsoft update website. It does however allow access to automatic updates, unless they havent changed something between now and 3 months ago. Automatic updates only downloads the most critical updates, for example - security updates.

The reason being is that if "found" copies of XP have holes in the software, its easy for hackers to target them, and then dish it out to legitemate windows users.

K, Gerv... happy: These are my stats:

Processers: Dual 2.8GHz Intel Pentium D
RAM: 2.0GB
CPU Speed: 2.80GHz rated at 4.20GHz
Graph. Card: NVIDIA GeForce 6200SE TurboCache

K, so obviously the rest of my computer can run BF2 fine (and probly maxed out), with teh exception of my graphics card. So, what's the cheapest graphics card I can get that can, say, max BF2 out?

How's this, Gerv?

[url:52719]http://www.futureshop.ca/catalog/proddetail.asp?logon=&langid=EN&sku_id=0665000FS10 071793&catid=10524[/url:52719]

I don't want to cheap it out ... Like I want a graphics card to last me a while, but I'm not goign to buy every new one that comes out - but I just don't want my games to look like utter shiite either.

And gtboys: ??

geRV 06-23-2006 10:54 AM

Thats ok if you have pci express slot, if you;re on agp you;re pretty limited by what you cna get in terms of the card lasting. If you do have pci express might want to look at a 7600gt.
