Ive tried to get the fucking thing to start, but it just shows the vids and then gos all black with the cursor as the only thing showing.

Vidcard = Sapphire Radeon 9200 128 Mb.
Drivers = Latest ATI ones, 5.6 or w/e.

CPU = AMD Barthon XP 3000+ running at 2.16
MOBO = ASUS A7N8X-X
RAM = 2*256 + 1*512

Ive heard others with older cards having the same problem, they just waited and it loaded. From what I understand it takes a while to load. Hope that helps

Read the system requirements, you need a Radeon 9500 or higher for bf2 to work.

I can come to the conclusion that the Support class and Sniper class fucking blow.

Supports MG is nerfed into oblivion. I forgot they use thoose guns to make noise and scare the bad guys in real life not acual meant to hit anything.

Sniper rifle is a joke. There was a guy sitting on the crane not moving at all and I was on the hotel roof and I went through 3 clips none of which hit him at all before some shmuck came over and knifed him. Sniper rifles are supposed to work at long distance correct?

Yeah the game definately has some shit that needs patched. Unless you have a gunner in your attack chopper firing missiles at infantry is pretty pointless as it has to be a dead on hit to kill them, seeing as they have next to no splashdamage. I suppose it can be good in a way since helo's can't rape entire maps as easily now.

The one thing i dont get about the game is its all about arcade styled gameplay yet infantry weapons all seem to have "realistic elements" stuck onto them. Bullet drop for snipers, leading moving targets for most weapons etc, doesn't make a lot of sense having arcadey vehicles then suddenly having to do real life style aiming for the infantry weapons.

The support mg needs seriously beefed up, i was using it earlier and amassed about 3 kills out of 100 rounds. Theyre bound to do some dicking with the weapons in patches though. Still an addicting game eitherway. dance:

MI-28 can rape entire maps with a good gunner. That HE ammo is deadly.

But yeah the others suck. Using the PKM I tried hitting a guy at 100 yards, used up about 2 mags and hit him several times. Naturally he didn't die.

The SAW and RPK can be very useful at close range but that's it. Their ammo and rate of fire are nice enough to mow down several guys before they notice you and plug you full of holes, however aside from that they are indeed useless.

Yeah, but the thing is; It still works with some of the older cards.

Nvm though, ordered a X700 Pro 256Mb last night, should be here by tuesday or so. happy:

As someone said earlier - find a good gunner! I was playing as gunner this afternoon - with an extremely good pilot - and it was mucho funo!!!

I play gunner often but I usally get stuck with some retard Spec Ops who parachutes out so he can blow up the artillery guns.
