why did you like it? i liked clerks, the clerks cartoons, dogma and mallrats but the rest of his shit just seems to kinda... suck. it just seems like people like him because it's kevin smith. i'd rather watch wes anderson happy:

1. they brought up the argument of LOTR being worse than Star Wars, something i debate with my friends all the time. 2. Rosario Dawson is fucking hot as hell. 3. a lot of old jokes brought back. 4. i've always liked Kevin Smith movies, just cuz he makes movies about my home. the movies refer to things by my hometown and stuff. |

High Noon
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0044706/ A superb western. Also a perfect allegory for the rise of McCarthyism, which was the writers intention. |

I hate people that claim to love his movies, they can never explain to me what is so amazing about them...I thought The Life Aquatic was so godamn boring, aside from Willem DaFoe, who always pwns, I thought the humour was just dull and too unobvious. Everyone tells me I'm missing the point of them, and they can never explain that when I query them, too. |
I like Anderson's sort of unique visual style, its very homey but at the same time detached. I fit into the group that cant explain their love for his movies, but I really do.
Anyway, Citizen Kane. Fucking sublime. |
