Luke wrote about one of Paul's trips to the now a day Greece area. In his writing, he called the leaders of different areas they were at by specific names. Archaeologists have determined that most of the names are correct for what they called leaders there. One name he used for the leaders was found to be incorrect at first, but recently, studies have found that in this specific area, the people actually did call their leaders by this name, proving years of beleived archaelogical evidence incorrect. Same thing also happened just slightly differently. Luke said there were 2 leaders of a place that was beleived to have only had 1 leader. Recently, however, it was discovered that Nero's mother didn't like the leader so she sent 2 assassins to kill him, then she made them temporary leaders of that area until a new leader could be instituted. Calculations determine that Paul was in that area at the time in which the 2 interim rulers held power. In archaeoligy, accuracy of documents has historically proven accuracy. Luke's accuracy=proof that he and Paul were there, and at least that section is true.
