kerry didnt impress me one bit, of course neither did bush. if they didnt waste their time saying things we know they will say in some dumb speech, and actually visited places answering questions etc. like some 3rd party candidates, then i'd be impressed. its a one-way communication with kerry and bush[/quote:a5dd9]
Umm what? Bush has visited places such as Pakistan and country`s like that. But if you meen like during the election this year , yes he has , he`s visited my near where I used to live in Canton Ohio, where is not very much of Rich area. But to be asked questions? That I think is not a place for where a President or someone like Kerry Should be in a time like this, they are far to busy to focus on there work. I.E....If you were to go to places all day long like you explain, and you knowing that your one of the top 2 candidates that will be a majority in votes for the presidential election then you will have no time to make those big speeches. Btw, those speeches are for a purpose, Bush and Kerry are to Confirm what they will do when Bush remains President and/or Kerry Becomes one. Simply to tell the Americans that what they believe in and will do will sink in to this election of there minds therefore to pick themselves. |
it still fails to impress me. why would i go want to see him speak if i know what he will say?
I'll post this here seeing as it's the most active election thread.

Well that`s totally up to you. 1.Would you go there just to see him screw up?2. Go there and see if he`s still got his strong beliefs?3.Will he add new plans?.4 Will he Add plans for the future that I agree with or that I dont agree with? For those who mostly go to his speeches I believe are from the higher ranks such as veterans being honored and VIP`s,along with the press, and people around the area. |

BS? How so?[/quote:26607] You dont think that they would be making these changes already? If this was true and actually proven on CNN and was told by John Kerry specifically about those then I`m a fool. |

yes but , where do you think everyone gets there most attention?
that will let everyone know how much lies there really are if its really true like your really saying, about the company and its errors... I meant by putting it on CNN would be best because since CNN is democrat in full they should host it and/or put on there to show that people should actually watch it on the net...or maybe they can make a video and release it just like Fahrenheit 9/11 ...Hey theres an idea, give it to fatass michael moore and he`ll soup it up. sleeping: |
.......... rolleyes:
I love how you expect something to go wrong. If you did`nt expect anything either and your against bush then well your not in for a treat because there is no way that this many machines can malfunction, there is just no possible way. Theres gotta be thousands of machines. What computer company that size would make an error on that? Hmm... |

There are more than two candidates. Why limit yourself to this two-party
system ? hake: |

The US Government has directed $US3.9 billion ($A5.65 billion) to upgrade 19th century voting technology following the embarrassing Florida polling that allowed President George W. Bush to win power three years ago. A report in Britain's Independent newspaper quoted Roxanne Jekot, a computer programmer with 20 years of experience, who downloaded kiosk source code from e-voting vendor Diebold, which had been erroneously posted at its public FTP site. Her line-by-line review found "enough to stand your hair on end", uncovering fatal security flaws in the 40,000 Diebold e-voting machines sold to 37 US states, ranging from the Microsoft Windows operating system all the way to the touchscreen displays. Her review found programmer notes hidden in the source code referring to it as "a gross hack" and "this really doesn't work". Her concerns were mirrored in independent analysis by the state of Maryland, which discovered 328 flaws (26 critical) that left the Diebold system at "high risk of compromise". The Information Security Institute at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore discovered "stunning flaws" such as the password in the source code. "This voting system is far below even the most minimal security standards," the researchers found. They said there were serious issues including "unauthorised privilege escalation, incorrect use of cryptography, vulnerabilities to network threats, and poor software development processes". "Common voters, without any insider privileges, can cast unlimited votes without being detected by any mechanisms within the voting terminal. We conclude that, as a society, we must carefully consider the risks inherent in electronic voting, as it places our very democracy at risk." A separate study by the Voting Technology Project, run by the Massachusetts and California Institutes of Technology, found e-voting kiosks that did not create a paper ballot for auditing were the least reliable voting systems surveyed. The Independent cites further concerns over the political affiliations of the directors of the e-voting companies, who are all big financial contributors and vocal supporters of the Republican Bush Administration. "Corporate America is very close to running this country," Jekot said. "The only thing that is stopping them from taking total control are the pesky voters. That's why there's such a drive to control the vote. What we're seeing is the corporatisation of the last shred of democracy."[/quote:6925a] also worth reading, part 2 in particular....Link[/url:6925a] |
Diebold is a very repudible company in ohio with a strong democratic employee base. My father and mother has had some friends who were registered democrats who actually worked there in diebold. So that`s how I know.
