i quit steam than logged back on and that seemed to work.

for some reason I can't play any other steam games with this pre-load.


I didn't buy DoD S and it's not loading onto my computer or anything but when I try to ping servers it's like 300-700 ping.


I was playing this afternoon and my ping was normal, then I left at about 3 pm est and came home at 3:30pm est and my ping was shitting through the roof.

I've reset my modem, I've unplugged it, I've logged in and out of steam and closed it all and still nothing. Other people are playing with normal ping,except me.

hl2 is really a steal if you ask me ... what other game do you get 3 games for the price of one? all of which are pretty damn fun to play.

if i didnt already have it i would buy dod for 20 bucks.

From what I heard from all my DoD buddies, they say Source is REALLY horrible. They say it's most likely never going to take off in leagues and it's so buggy.


This is all hearsay so I can't confirm. I'm not in a rush to get it. I like to give games a month or two after realease, in order for them to fix all the bugs.

so if you bought retail hl2 you have to buy this shit right? if so - fuck that noise.
