Finished it today. I was pretty impressed by SP. It was fun. Not sure about the reviews saying the first 4 levels are boring and the last 2 are great. The 5th one I found stupid as hell. I kind of like the more open fighting environment instead of stepping out and getting pegged by 3 snipers etc. rest of the game was great. very enjoyable.
wtf is with the nazi elite mg42 superhuman hitler experiment machines of death? Grenade blasts don't kill them and it takes 20 shots to take them down. Ran out of ammo on my two main weapons on the last level and was left with the colt and I had to reload 4 or 5 times before i took the guy down and this was prety much at point blank range. haven't played MP yet. |
it that trainyard thing where you first see those machine gun guys in the back left there is 3 crates, 1 ammo, 1 health and 1 gamma, a couple of gamma grenads kill them

I actually like them as an enemy, to me theyre more deadly than the tanks as the rate of fire is far superior. Its a real "oh shit" moment when one of them comes trotting around the corner. rock: |
yeah, i know. i finished it. just sayin 20 rounds to take do one guy is a little extreme.
Played a round of Destroyed Village. Map looks great, and the paradrops add a hage dimension to the map because basically anyone can be anywhere on the map not only on a horizontal plane, but vertical as well. I can remember hopping around with guys on there in the AA maps trying to get on top of buildings and such. paradrops makes it a lot easier. played in a server with about 6 guys and it was fin. a few minutes later is was up to 10 guys and laggy as hell cause their hosting off a cable connection. great to see EA put the time in on the MP part of the game. Shouldn't expect any less from them. Give me a dedicated server and the ability to actually see my ping and you'll have a great game. Until then, they are fucking stupid. Still don't understand how they did that. |

So far online its been really mixed for me. Sometimes people play properly and the games really fun, other times theres an asslaod of spawnraping going on with allies camping inside the rooftop of the church and firing at the germans when they spawwn below, that kinda thing gets really frustrating especially when you die within a second several succesive spawns in a row.
Ive been in remagen servers using the airdrop mode with people doing the same thing, camping rooftops with the (recoilless rifle) and fucking several people up with one shot into the middle of them. I think the main thing causing this to happen is the bazookas this time around seem really accurate over range (from what ive seen) compared to allied assault where after a few feet they'd veer all over the place. The dedicated servers meant to come with some sort of spawn protection option so you can't die right away, maybe some sort of 2-3 second invulnerability which will be good. I still think it can be good though just needs some fine tuning. |
yeah, in the dv map i played pretty much everyone was camping with sniper rifle. with the ability to drop it makes it a lot harder to find guys and they can hide and pick people off easier. will have to play more mp to see.
one thing about SP is you can't go and play any level after you pass the game? you have to restart the campaign? thats a load of bs. |
