You're a piece of shit elstat. You always have been, but this proves it.

anyway buttocks is to blame, he pushed me into doing it, he doesnt like israel. |
I'm not offended, because I don't allow myself to be offended, but you're basically shitting on a man who possibly saved many lives.
|
Technically the kill count would have likely been the same since he probably used up all his ammo before wasting himself.

i hope he didnt play any violent video games b/c thats sure to be the next debate after this gun law bs. If guns are banned, people will resort to other forms of violence... aka bombs

Trip, i totally agree with you. I was thinking the same thing......how does someone who committed themselves for mental observation acquire a legal gun. Boggles the mind. |
He could of built a bomb, placed fatal poison in the cafeteria food, chain up the outside of a dorm/school and start it on fire, release butane gas inside the dorms at night, etc..., what difference does it make what weapon he used.
Someone made reference earlier in this thread to 9/11... "should planes be banned" because the terrorist used them. |
your argument, if that even is one, makes no sense.

Was commenting on what Arkan wrote. [Commenting on this thread in general] Banning guns doesn't solve the problem or even help it by a little, that just persuades people to use bigger weapons that will take out even more people. Quote:
I love how people here quote out of context. |
I've never seen someone so bad at creating a logical, persuasive argument. Never.

Theres a reason they're called "school SHOOTINGS" and why Cho referenced Dylan and Eric (Columbine killers) - This is basically another copycat. Remember all the postal worker killing sprees? They work like an epidemic. Im sorry but I cant think of any school bombings or chemical/bio attacks on any schools (Obviously there will be one or two). the point is there certainly isnt an epidemic of them. People need to look at the VTECH massacre in the context of a larger issue which is the dramatic increase in school shootings in the last 20 years. Considering this, there is no doubt that part of the motivation for a kid to go shoot up his school, is knowing that it has been done before, several times, effectively. Also, on a side-note: You cant compare anything to a gun, they're the only thing delibritely MADE to kill effectively. Which is why there should be tighter regulations on who can own them, so people with mental disorders cannot get a hold of them. Also, how the fuck did he get hollow-points? I thought they were illegal? |

its v-tec, ass!

Trip, hollow point bullets are legal here in the U.S. They're no more dangerous that a FMJ bullit IMO. I could be wrong here but i believe they banned the "Black Talons" after the Long Island Railroad shooting back in '93. Here's an Wikipedia definition
[url=http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Black_Talon:be423]Black Talons[/url:be423] To be honest, the 9mm is a marginal round to say the least. Headshots will always increase the chance of death no matter what caliber is used. I wonder how many of the 32 victims died with the 9mm round as opposed to the .22 round he used that day. Would it change things if we knew 90% of the victims died by being shot with the .22? From what i understand, most victims were shot multiple times and most suffered a headshot. At that, hollow points, FMJ, .22, or 9mm doesn't make all that much difference. |

I think copycat suggests he was doing it solely for that purpose. Thats not the case; the guy had some serious mental problems that pushed him to this point and Columbine no doubt gave him inspiration and "support" to carry out what his emotions were pushing him to do. Either way this is a BAD thing to have happened, but BAD things happen all the time - just not all at once. Its just like this shit in your life. . .if you lose your girl, your job, your mother dies, and you get evicted in the year - you had a bad year. If it happens over like 5 years, its "ups and downs". This was just multiple bad things all rolled into one big cluterfucked tragedy. |

I wouldn't say he just copied columbine just for the sake of it, I don't think any of the so-called "copycats" would have had that as their main motivation - I think, like you say, that it is inspiration for troubled, suicidal kids. |
'Richard McBeef' has been brought to life.

We were making fun of McBeef the other day, and I said Eastbay is going to ban people being able to put McBeef on the customized jerseys for VT, much like the name "Mexico" was banned from being put on Atlanta Falcons jerseys (in reference to Michael Vick).
Maybe we'll see McDonald's come out with their new McBeef sandwich soon. |
