Rascalz/SSU/SM/Kardinal/Choclair/Universal Soul/Kyprios/ > Kiwi HipHop.

its just taste's in music. i geuss, I find all this shit diffrent from half the mainstream garbage pushed out of the US lately.[/quote:96898]

Hah, I've heard all of those canadian artists listed except Kyprios, and you, I'm guessing, haven't even heard one NZ Hiphop song.....So, don't even post that shit.

....But that's not what this is about - Quit turning this into a country vs country thing. You've been doing this with everything that comes your way on these forums. Believe it or not, but not everyone is out to get Canada.

For The Record:
IMO Deceptikonz/P-Money/Scribe/Frontline/SAS/Foot SoulJahs > All those canadian artists listed except maybe Rascalz.

Mainstream "hiphop" shouldn't even be thought of - Unless you actually think of it as hiphop.....I personally think it's just a fad that's here today and gone tomorrow.....It's not hiphop though.

The only good tracks I've actually liked were two songs by K-OS (I have his album Exit) Superstar pt 1 and Heaven Only Knows, and pretty much most of The Rascalz (Only canadian hiphop group who have really hit the nail on the head in finding a style that suits them)

I just think the production used by pretty much all the Canadian artists (On the tracks I've heard), is horrible - It's absolutely nothing compared to the American hiphop scene, which has producers like Premo, 9th Wonder, Pete Rock, Hi-Tek, Beatminerz, Large Pro, Diamond D....The list goes on.

Sure it is all about taste, but if you're going to post stuff like that, you gotta back it up with examples like I have.

i missed K-OS ahh shit.. Got to see him live at the government while back. Amazing show. His new single B Boy Stancez is pretty good. He does alot of christian rapping , which turns off a lot of people.

Universal Soul - Got an old school feel to it. RUN DMC = favourtie group of all time so my connection to them is seen.

Swollen Members - If not their music then their contribution to producing struggling artists. They have put guyz like Kyprios threw the roof here in Canada. + Lady Venom/Fuel Injected/Watch This all great beats that have a catchy tune to them. Its a new type of hip hop if you call it that. I don'tknow how to explain it , it is solid.

Kardinal - Besides the radio shack commercial..... Bicardi Slangand. Loved it.

SSU. Lyrics are powerful, relates to social justice, Chinese DJ is half decent. They work well as a group. Solid beats. I see what their is not to like, unless you find the left winged theme of their music to panzish and not kool enough.

Kyprios, you probably won't like, "This is my hit" is one of his single out currently.

Tell that to the thousands and thousands of heads who have the same taste in hiphop, and who can tell a good act when they hear it. You don't know shit, so don't even start.

The only hiphop you know is your shitty domestic groups which suck MAJOR ass. They're just weak copies of American counterparts.....and then there's Run-DMC. Yay. You're so down with real hiphop because you know one old school group from rap's heyday.
