and there lies the problem. how would they know it won't or will make things better, they never tried it and that's what were getting at; don't decide to shelter yourself from something that can be extremely harmless without even giving it a bit of a taste. oh hey now, don't turn on that t.v. there might be some violence or pornogrpahy on. woah, don't get in that car you might speed and kill yourself. don't have a single beer, it might lead you to get extremely wasted and sleep with your cousin.... i'm sorry but i fail to see the logic.

There's a little joke between my friends & I saying that 'these are the best times we'll never remember.' Getting a little mashed most weekends & going out to party has been great for me. Prior to that I'd just sit indoors at weekends playing Combat Flight Simulator online, I'd go out occasionally but just find the social scene completely boring.

I don't really like the taste of beer or alcohol, I'd rather have a coke or something when just going out for a drink. But if I'm going out to party alcohol is a lot of help. I wouldn't take back a single second from the effects of getting mashed & clubbing. I'm not naturally a really out-going party person when with strangers, but when in the company of some mates & after a few drinks it can certainly boost ones confidence with 'dutch courage'. A few drinks make you a lot more sociable & outgoing.

If you don't want to drink because of health I can understand that, but having just a few drinks every now & then won't have any effect whatsoever, infact having a drink now & then is usually quite good for you. I have got utterly wasted before at some parties & I don't particuarly like that, the key is to know ones limits.

p.s. I hate scene/straight-edge kids as much as emo kids! Though I'm sure they're lovely people. from my experience the scene/emo/straightedge kids around here don't party just to stay pure & cool, which is gay. I've been to their 'gatherings' & they suck! Just a bunch of hippie art students sitting round playing the guitar & watching tv oOo:

getting drunk is a lot of fun. I should look through some of my pics when i get home. vegas, golf trips, trips to lakes and such. i'm sure theres some good stuff in there.

I went camping this past weekend and we went golfing one day.

Event 1: Me and my other buddy made friends with the cart girls and they asked us if we wanted a free whisky shot. of course we obliged and it turned into a double shot. saw them 2 holes later and got another free double and this went on pretty much the entire day. i had a wicked round too which is suprising.

Event 2: Me and my buddy getting our golf cart high centered trying to drive up a huge steep hill. basically side of a mountain. we were way off the golf course. there were two trails that horses go on and the center part was where we got stuck. a trail guide comes by and helps us get the cart unstuck. i was plastered at this point and the cart was really heavy so we were having troubles. get the cart off and my buddy decides to drive right by the horses, spooks them which knocks the guy on his horse who just helped us right off his horse.

yes kids, this is what alcohol does to you.

Event 3: eating a wicked ceasar salad and beef dip after the round, then going out to the car not feeling too well. Look over and one buddy is puking, the next minute another buddy is puking, and then i decided i should go ahead and do that as well. 3/4 guys laying on the grass outside the clubhouse puking their guts out.

moral of the story: puking after drinking too much sucks, but drunk golf fucking rules. especially when you get to go party with the cart girls later in pincher creek in a fucking barn that charged $8 cover.

anyway, i'll try to get some pics of that from my friend.
