ok, if you kept going you would be naming stuff off of other genres which you already are. jazz counts as one, not acid jazz. trip hip is hip hop and rap. garage is a form of rock. ok dance, i forgot that. choir/gospel/singing with organs are the same. jungle? wtf? is that that bongo stuff? ps rolleyes: |
Every kind of music is a twisted deformed form of Opera.

It's Lounge, jazz put together without any live instruments, i.e like a hiphop/electronica beat. Saying it's the same as jazz is the same as saying metal is like rock. Second - Trip Hop is not hip hop and both are no Rap. Rap always has rapping in it. Hip hop is essentially Rap with less emphasis on lyrics, and vice versa....But regardless, I didn't list hip hop alongside rap. Trip Hop is a form of electronica, beats are generally slower than hiphop songs, but can be faster - They're constructed totally differently, with usually no rapping at all.... Third - Yes, there is a sub-genre of rock called Garage...and No, I wasn't referencing that genre. I was talking about the style of house music mostly popular in the UK, also originally came from there. It's heaps like 2-step, which tends to be alot more funkier. Fourth - [quote:44fb2]ok dance, i forgot that. choir/gospel/singing with organs are the same. jungle? wtf? is that that bongo stuff?[/quote:44fb2] Dance? I never mentioned that....But I guess you could add that as another genre...Cool - Keep at it, it's easier for me when you prove yourself wrong. Choir, is nothing like gospel. Aside from that it originates from christian churches, and involves a group of singers. Totally different styles. Two different genres. Jungle is a crazy style of techno that is alot faster and different in construction also, enough to make it a major sub genre (Again, like Metal is to Rock)....It is not bongo stuff. You're thinking of World Music....Thanks for ANOTHER genre that supports my propositions....you really suck at arguing, you know that? I also forgot - Dub and Reggae... |
Because you sem so clueless, here's some prominant artists of the genres you seem confused about:
Trip Hop: Massive Attack Acid Jazz: St Germain Jungle: Squarepusher Garage: Dizzee Rascal |
once again, im not fucking clueless. you proved yourself wrong which makes it easier for me. i said dont list the same genre, you just said acid jazz is jazz with different instruments. i always thought jazz and jazz were the same thing, i guess iwas mistaken!

They're totally different. I would know since I compose alot dealing with choirs (soprano, alto, tenor, bass). With choir music, you don't even need lyrics per say. Alot doing skatting (which is different from jazz since you only have voice and another person that usually does voice drumset or string bass). Gospel's main thing is lyrics...God...you know...don't wanna forget that dude.

Acid Jazz - Produced. Often using unconventional instruments....Basically half way between hiphop and Jazz. It can't simply be defined as hiphop or simply as jazz. It's a whole new genre that spawned out of the two. Jazz - Generally played....Instruments etc, no reliance on production. It's like Metal vs Alt Rock.... It's not fucking quantum physics - You should be able to understand this, I guess you're not half as smart as I thought you were. I should have dumbed it down the first time around. |
Blink 182 weather you like it or not will and always will be popular. Like butters said, just because they were popular alot of people hate them because its uncool to be popular and its so cool to be uncool. Blink 182 was basically one (not THE pioneers) of the pioneers of punk music since they debuted back in the early 90's.
