Just saw a tribute show to him on Animal Planet, definatly very sad and unbelivable that he is actually gone.

Just look at the love he had for his job. So much passion for the animals..

Put the animal planet on toni, its on again. The one scene on the episode i just watched where he talked about losing his mom and he was all tearing up, almost made me cry. Than hearing his wife say "The croc hunter will be around for a long time" and the line where Steve goes "im a bit nervous about my daughter dating, which is why im not letting her date till shes 31" was pretty fucking sad.

PS I remember that episode where that alligator died. Made me feel bad to.

I saw some of the shows on animal planet today. A lot of him and his dad working together and stuff. IT is a very sad thing to have happened.

yeah ive been watching those specials they have on animal planet. theyre inserting the 'warning these were filmed and first aired on xx/xx/xx' like they did to the twin towers documentary on the history channel. he had a real love for animals and animal conservation. i dont know why, but his death seems to have some real ramifiactions over here. people are shocked to hear about it. he knew the risks for what he did, but that doesnt mean its his fault or that he was stupid for being there at the time. he even mentioned in an episode that if he were to make a mistake and die for it that he knew it would be his own fault. its kind of hard to see that and know that he's gone now, especially how they included his marriage and when his kids were being born. RIP Steve.

for some odd reason... it feels like he's still alive. I've been watching the tribute vids, interviews, reading news reports etc but i dont feel like he's dead. Maybe if i were to witness the video of it or maybe attend the funeral then it would become all the more real but at this point, he's not dead in my eyes. Shows alot about his personality

Nyck 09-04-2006 10:41 PM

I was joking if you guys couldnt get it dumb asses...ffs

all die in a Hornet Attack

Milla 09-04-2006 10:42 PM

I saw on that one documentary, where he was in Mexico filming sea otters and sharks, and some divers got lost at sea, and he devoted his whole crew to look for the divers, and he actually found them.

[quote:40d31]"He came on top of the stingray and the stingray's barb went up and into his chest and put a hole into his heart," said Stainton, who was on board Irwin's boat at the time.[/quote:40d31]

[quote:40d31]Collin said he suspected Irwin died because the barb pierced under his ribcage and directly into his heart.

"It was extraordinarily bad luck. It's not easy to get spined by a stingray and to be killed by one is very rare," Collin said.[/quote:40d31]

What a fucking shame

CoMaToSe 09-04-2006 10:44 PM

man, it is sad. At first I was set to laugh at the video of him crying over the croc. Then I heard him talk about it... It's hard to believe he's actually dead.

I wont put a joking reference to my smokiing to look cool in this thread out of respect for the passed.
RIP Steve Irwin

I think that stringray had it out for Steve, probably had a little TV there under the sand, watching day in and day out of him pissing off the other animals.
