As Lord High Commander of Europe I would send the French Forces in first, then whilst the US Forces are distracted by the French retreating hit them in the ass with all the tea and scones we can throw at them........
ON a more serious note....its difficult to say who would be the ultimate victor.....as has been said if one invaded the other they would most likely be repelled....there would be a mountain of casulaties though |
lmfao whoever edited simo's post
..nice one |
[quote="Maple SyRuP":00e77]america is a terrifying country[/quote:00e77]

Tomcats, Hornet and Harriers vs. Rafales and Harriers, Ticos and Burkes vs Type 42s and froggy DDGs, B-2s and B-52s vs...converted Concordes?? :biggrin Nimitzes vs the Charles de Gaulle. Btween the US Navy and Air Force the Europeans would have a tough time getting across "the pond", those that got ashore intact would get wiped out by our redneck militia patrols evil:[/quote:a241e] You forgot the primary fighter-bomber of the Luftwaffe and the Royal Air Force... The Tornado. Enjoy trying to find them at 100 feet above sea level on a radar screen. I still think this is a futile discussion. For every "if" there is a "what" and for every "why" there is a "how". The bottom line is millions would die and, after a long, horrible, bloody war, Europe would "win" due to far superior numbers. Notice the quotation marks around the word "win". This would be a war that no one would win, regardless of who stood last. |
F-14s would have no problem detecting a low flying plane. The AWG-9 is a doppler radar system, in laymans terms it means it sees that which moves, so it would see the planes even at sea level (unless they were flying through a storm with 20 foot waves of course, but I suppose no one is crazy enough to try)
Whoever was defending would win. A defending air-force will always have the advantage of more fuel and help from integrated air defense, etc. |
not always though. SOmethins you can win an air war that is not defensive. Hell hitler nearly did it...good thing the english came out with the Spitfire when they did. Back on topic. YEs the USA has the most advanced airforce on earth, and in space. Remember all those "comunications sattalites" we put into space? YEah i would make a safe bet half are very dangerou

[/quote:c9739] There's your "what" to my "if". Could go on forever about "this" countering "that" without any conclusion. Point of my post. |
a pyric victory
|
Yeah, the pirates will win.

Stereotyping is fun, isn't it?
|
Don't break my heart, my achey breaky heart.
|
No, you're right... America would win... They'd just play Country music to all the prisoners of war and they'd all freely give up all of Europe's military secrets after a few minutes of torture.
