So you are joining to better your life, not serve. Look, its easy to tell everyone that they have a duty to do and should go fight when you are going to go to a school that will put you in charge of a group of people that have already earned its experience in boot camp. If you arent willing to enlist yourself, dont start telling others that theyre cowards for not wanting to be drafted.

Yep, that's what's wrong about today's youth. Too many of us think that it's "Cool" to be different by speaking out against things. Shut your pie-hole and go fuck yourselves. That's my response to them.[/quote:a8785]

so you just do whatever some morons upstairs tell you without question?

what if a new president in the near future told you to round up the mexicans and gas them?

im afraid the us is digging itself deeper and deeper into its own grave as we continutally destroy countries we cannot afford to support.

next on the list is korea part 2, then iran, then who knows?

and the more we invade these countries, the more we look like the bad guys. we are going to look like an insane country in a frenzy to fight terrorism in the proven wrong manner.

in this war, you cannot fight fire with fire, it takes a great leap of faith, but people need to realize that the flames of terrorism must be extinguished and not met with perfectly calculated brutality. our attacks only spawn more hate.

then again, what it comes down to is: the us, canada, britain and most of europe, israel, japan, australia, etc. are the "have's" and the people middle east and parts of afrika and asia are the "have-not's," so there will always be jealousy and hatred toward us on thier part.

and our attempts to aid these people come up short as the more we try to help, the more they hate us in that we are able to help them.

i wish we could just leave these countries to duke it out on thier own: we pull out all economic ties, and perhaps they can get along fine in thier own culture. maybe then they would realize some of the west's good intentions.

Alright, I didnt read this whole thread, I got up to page 5 and then I got bored, can you blame me? Anyway, guys I think you should stop jumping down pyros throat. He tried to start a nice, intelligent, and mature thread with you guys and a lot( not all) of you guys are screwing it up. Pyro, I believe that you are right. Nobody should be able to put a price on anybodys life. If and when the cause is just, and the stability and safety of the country in which you live in are at stake, people will willingly commit themselves to the millitary in an effort to save their country, from tyranny and oppression. Alright, I may have gotten a bit dramatic at the end but you guys should be able to get where Im going.
