Even if you price it online its bull shit, the manual is more than the auto which is bull shit because the autos have more computers in them and what not.

Himmler 01-02-2006 01:18 PM

the base price of them is $600 more i believe because they come standard with the sport tuned suspension

Miscguy 01-02-2006 01:19 PM

That or its because americans have gotten so lazy that to get a stick is now considered an option. So they charge a premium for people who actually want to drive.

Thats bull shit, but its not true thank god. Because the Subarus and Nissans and all those other people charge less for manuals.

What gets me is in Spain when i was there EVER car was a manual. Than i come back to the states im like wow wtf its amazing why europeans and japs are better drivers than americans as far as road racing and rallying.

its actually because sport tuned suspension = better suspension, bigger wheels, and a few more interior options.

i wouldn't say that is true just because they can drive stick, i can drive stick but that doesnt mean i like to do it. id just prefer not to because what is the point? to race? am i going to race? no. am i going to take it to the track? maybe once but not like every weekend. plus automatics are basically as fast as manuals now a days anyway, and i do have the manual shift mode for when i do want the power.

Milla 01-02-2006 01:26 PM

You get a better feel for the car with a manual. I like having complete control over my speed nad power with the flick of the stick. With an auto im not in control as much as i want to be. The sporttronics are just a regular auto, just use the 1-2-3-D to shift ffs lol.

Himmler 01-02-2006 01:38 PM

the g35 doesnt have 1-2-3-d it only had D and the manual mode

Simo Häyhä 01-02-2006 01:42 PM

the Manual G35 has way more horsepower than the autotragic.

Manual > Auto

1) When going down a hill in a low speed limit you need to be in maybe 3/4th gear (engine braking). You cant do this in a manual, you have to keep tapping the brake which is a pain in the arse.
2) Alert, you are much more alert when driving a manual, you have to constantly change gears, making you much more wary of your surroundings.
3) fuel consumption, Automatic consumes alot more fuel.

lol you guys jsut dont get it. i dont care about the 17 extra hp. simo, am i going to race? NO.

it consumes 1 more mpg, and like i said it comes with the manual mode so you can use whatever gear you want for a hill or waht not.

oh and plus the fact - i dont care and i dont want a manual.
