after not fuking with cameras for more than a year im starting to remember just how fuking hard it is. theres a shitload to think about if you are photographing manually. ive had to whip out my books and review ... and even still there a lot to think about before you take the pictures, or even afterwards when youre wondering wtf you did wrong.

Looking at the cars in his shot I'm certain he just had a slow shutter speed. But it's still an amazing photo.

yea if you have it on long exposure you can get lightning a lot easier, if you are lucky 2 or 3 bolts in the same shot.

it's still luck to pount your camera in a random spot and actually get a strike. the shutter was around 30 seconds or so, i just sat there and kept pressing it over and over again; i waited a good 30 minutes to get something.

I tried to get some strikes down on sanibel but was unsucessful.

got 2 lightning strike pics here in NM along with many other good shots. Ill post when I get back or when I can.
