there was plans for a US remake but after that Virgina tech school shooting the movie got pretty much canned.

read the book (i never read on my own, girlfriend's friend left it in her dorm room and i read it over a few weeks) and loved it. extremely interesting stuff. the movie, on the other hand, was pretty terrible in comparison. left sooo many interesting things out and the way they tried to turn a documentary book into a storyline just didnt work well. i highly recommend the book, skip the movie.
