Allied Assault or Spearhead?
 

okay. since Spearhead is about to be released, i decided to post this question.

When the expansion is released, will you still play Allied Assault MP maps or just Spearhead MP maps? or both?

i notice that most servers only host the stock maps, and i was wondering if this will hold true for when Spearhead comes out. do you think that they will start hosting only Spearhead's MP maps and forget about Allied Assault's MP maps?

its probably to soom to ask that. maby after everyone has tried spearhead then you should see if everyone likes it more. i think i will probably play both but it also depends on what everyone else does to cause it will suck if everyone goes to spearhead.

I think they will continue to play both AA Maps and Spearhead maps, so then we will have a wider variety and more to play in servers. I know our server will be hosting both AA & SH maps.

yeah, ive been thinking about it.

would it be possible for a server to mix the map's for each game? and if so, would that confuse people joining the server, b/c if they dont have Spearhead, it might cause them problems.

just some thoughts thrown out there for discussion.

This one is thought. because we do not know how they will be listed in GS or ASE. I for one have not had too much time to play MOHAA lately.
1) been too damn busy here and my new MOHadmin site
2) board with the current crop of stock and new custom maps
3) bf1942

But I will be making some good quality time for SpearHead. I am currently looking into providers who will be upgrading their server to spearhead or offering this to their current customers.

Keep an eye on my other thread. If anyone finds a copy on the store shelf please post in that thread so we know where to look

What was that at number 3 Rude. No, say it aint so. You done some converting yourself? happy: I would almost hope there's seperate servers, it just too damn hard downloading all these maps all the time.

I think if the new maps are good enough and depending on how the 2 products will integrate, most people will move toward Spearhead. Its like any new game, no matter how good the old one was, the new one is fun because its new.

nah Snype. this is what i do now to keep the flames away.

when someone posts a flame or a flame reply to me, i just ignore it. over time, the post will get so low on the list that it will vanish. i love when that happens.

yeah, im back to normal now. alot of good stuff going on, i cant miss it for anything. not even accusations of cheating. lol.

Spearhead, here we come! w00t

I hope the servers will run both. Either both on the same night mixed together or rotate nights. I think that is a good reason to find a server or two where you like to play and stay with the server. I know I've played with some really good people here. I would hate to think that some of them would go to a Spearhead only server or an Allied Assault only server. I would miss playing with them. I hope it stays ONE BIG community not two.

hey everyone. i have been reading alot about trying to bypass forcemodels and such. and for the most part it works. but lately i have joined servers that force the models for you, and no matter what i do, that mod always works against me. so i figured out a way to bypass every possible mod the anti-cheaters can throw out there.

i am currently working on a workaround for the Anti-ForceModels mods out there. ...Blah....Blah...all will include the see-thru walls script.

This way, even if the server forces a stock skin for you, it will always be an edited one.

I am going to release the mod this weekend, after Halloween.

Hey Rude , what was that at number 3 in your first post? Boy , did I waste $45.00 on that one , well maybe not , I might get back to it one of these days, after I retire and have lots of time. biggrin:
I'm with Shakes , nobody is quite sure how everthing is going to be set up yet . How much interaction is there going to be between the base game and the exp. pack in MP ???? I guess we don't have long to wait now to find out. I'm hoping that it will still be one game with expanded possibilitys so the same servers can run everything the way they have been.

I dont' think I'm gonna get it.... buy or warez..... MOHAA has become so boring... Though when I play VC and NVN for a while it will seem good again.
