Good video card for MOH:AA ?

Anyone here using a Radeon 9700 PRO with MOH:AA? How does it run? are there any driver issues?

Thinking about upgrading video card for Xmas.

My GeForce 4 works good, so does my other GeForce 2. Both work good, not that expensive either.

im only runnin a gf2 64mb mx400 and no probs it runs fine.

Well, I'm already running a GF4 Ti4200 and it runs great as far as FPS goes. But the game crashes so often. I'm trying to fix it now. I'm going to upgrade to a Radeon 9700 Pro soon, so I was wondering if MOH:AA was compadible with the catalyst drivers.

BTW, what drivers are you guys using with your Geforces?

I've got the 9700 Pro. Mohaa runs fine. I usually get 50-100 fps with an AMD 1800+ and 1024MB RAM. All the settings are default (Balance and Application Preference) with zero Windoze tweaks.

Laugh all you want :-P

ok ive got a Voodoo 3 2000 16mb card at the moment and i gotta say people make it sound worse than it is, with medium settings and i get around 40 FPS, the lowest FPs i have ever got was 15 and this was on southern france when i was hiding in some bushes, now i dont have the best system ever, i have:

1GHz CPU, 128mb RAM, 16mb voodoo card.

now if this is what MoH runs like on the voodoo 3 card which is only 16mb im guessing it would be alot faster with a voodoo 5 card which is 64mb, voodoo cards are cheap as hell since they have gone out of business so i would recommend voodoo cards, very reliable and very fast to say the least, and if you want drivers for the card theres a site which is dedicated to making drivers for the card. http://www.voodoofiles.com i love my voodoo card and im gonna cherish it forever lol

I have had both both the Ti4600 and now the ATI 9700 pro. Both are nice cards . you will get better drivers support from Nvidia, This of ATI as the EA's of graphics cards.
nuff said LOL

Ti4200 12-09-2002 07:48 AM

I recently installed the GeForce 4 Ti4200 128 DDR card. Most exceptional performance. Every setting maxed with 800x600 resolution, and my FPS fall into the 30-50 range outside and 50-90 inside.

I used to have a GeForce 256 Card. Boy, what a pain in the arse that one was. You can pickup the Ti4200 for $177 wholesale, if you can find a small shop selling at wholesale. Its worth the money. Good luck in finding a good card.

Check pricewatch. best prices. Just stay away from the OEM cards and go with full retail box. OEM= lower clock speed and cheaper components

I have a GeForce 2MX 400 64MB and its runs great. 1024x768 with everything on medium and I get 30-120 FPS on AA maps and 30-70 on SH maps.

There are 3 or 4 different companies that make these cards i.e. Gainward, PNY, Vertco ect... Gainward makes the best cards. The memory on these cards is better.

I have a gf2 pci, i wish i had gotten an agp

uno_dos 12-09-2002 07:33 PM

I have a Gainward GF4 TI4200 128mb and I dont really like it.....

ozzy1965 12-09-2002 07:40 PM

The 64mb ram ti4200 card outscores the 128 mb card by adround 800 points on 3dMark. It has better memory than the 128. Unless you are running at 1600x1200 than the 128 is better.
